Agree completely, add faith to the mix and belief in God is a no brainer.
No, I wasn’t under that impression.
Just anytime that science and religion are mentioned, many seem to think they are at odds, not of the same end.
It seems to always go there with conversations I have on the two topics talked about together.
Something I’ve mulled over for years is that mathematics is the true underpinning of the universe, evidence of the creator. Mathematics is the language we use to describe what we find.
Mathematics isn’t a human invention. It’s a human endeavor at discovery.
Newton didn’t create the Principia, he uncovered it, exposed it for us to see.
Similarly Einstein wove together previously stated observations and boiled them down into E=MC^2
When theoretical physicists say it’s possible to warp space, travel interdimensionally, and so on, it’s a matter of time until the math shows how to do it.
This isn’t something we will create, but something we will uncover as greater minds untangle the formulae from the concealment of chaos strewn around everywhere.
It may take AI’s to do it, but we’ll get there.
In my view, God created the heavens and the earth. When we study chemistry, physics, biology, geology, etc. we are studying how He did it, but mankind is not capable of understanding it fully, not even close.
Why would God need to be a mathematician? There is nothing for Him to figure out?
I think trying to understand it is important.(as much as possible)
Most people can’t go that far in the sciences, but hopefully many scientific minded people have faith as well.
