Young people in America have been subjected to a huge amount of indoctrination in the classroom and from entertainment since the 1960's and 1970's. A lot of it invisible to parents.

I don't think the Bible speaks of such stuff specifically, but it does speak of a Strong Delusion.

The evangelical claim to legitimacy is based on its professed adherence to Biblical teachings and norms. Support for same-sex marriage is a clear rejection of Biblical norms, and any evangelicalism that goes down that road has lost its legitimacy.
