Teleios conducted a wellbeing survey and found personal wellbeing was better among evangelical Christians compared to social Christians, Christian seekers or non-Christians. Evangelicals were more content, at peace, and joyful than the other groups. This was the first survey, to our knowledge, evaluating wellbeing in young Christians versus non-Christians. These findings support our prior research showing Christians who adhere to their faith report better general wellbeing. In addition, peer-reviewed medical literature notes that those practicing the Christian faith report better wellbeing than those who do not, specifically in healthy individuals, patients with a variety of diseases and those with addiction problems. In summary, Christianity may help wellbeing and increase contentment peace and joy! More details at https://teleiosresearch.com/christians-have-better-personal-wellbeing-than-non-christians/.

Philippians 4:8 King James Version (KJV)

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Proverbs 17:22 - A merry heart doeth good like medicine.

Philippians 4:4 - Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.

I’m just a “recovering Methodist”; can’t help you with that one. Let me know if you find out, please.

A recovering Methodist? In that case, don’t you ask your lesbian reverend for assistance?

(lol)

You’re thinking of the Episcopals and Lutherans. I don’t go to Church, anywhere here.

Is there a difference between a Biblical Christian and an Evangelical Christian?

No. they’re the same thing.

The big differences in the christian community is between the liberal christians and the Biblical Christians or Evangelical Christians. The difference comes over who Christ is. The liberal christians believe that Jesus is a very good man but just a man. Whereas Biblical Christians or Evangelical Christians believe that Jesus is fully God and fully man.

This distinction as to who Jesus is— also holds between the current (liberal) pope and his conservative antagonists.

False.

While I will do my sensitive best to not extinguish the general glee or happiness of any Christian, even those who may enjoy your aha! Pope comment as true - and so will be disappointed- because it’s not. And it can’t be.
While those who consider themselves anti-Pope Francis people and chose to side with an Atheist journalist and his unsubstantiated claims against PF- there is much more public record of PF claiming just the opposite of what he was charged with saying. As any Christian should know, Christ cannot be simply be a man for if so he would have to be regarded as a lunatic.
Be careful when siding with an Atheist – who is also a journalist who has been exposed for writing incorrect and dishonest words. Pope Francis I’m sure he relishes his liberal, Jesuit nature…. But Church Dogma is something even HE can’t change… even if he wanted to. I will leave you with what PF said about the Body of Christ at yesterday’s Corpus Christi Mass:

"He did not just leave us the Scriptures, for it is easy to forget what we read. He did not just leave us signs, for we can forget even what we see. He gave us Food, for it is not easy to forget something we have actually tasted. He left us Bread in which he is truly present, alive and true,“He is the Lord; he remembers me!” That is why Jesus told us: “Do this in remembrance of me” (1 Cor 11:24). Do!
The Eucharist is not simply an act of remembrance; it is a fact: the Lord’s Passover is made present once again for us. In Mass the death and resurrection of Jesus are set before us. Do this in remembrance of me:"

I’m not catholic. I prefer that the pope agrees to the Nicene creed—as an indication of his views. Because there is nothing in the quote you gave that a clever arian would not say. Indeed, this fine art was mastered by liberal protestant pastors in the first half of the 20th century. They learned the arian heresy in the seminaries byo the school of higher criticism. Then from the pulpit they would preach the word. The arian pastors would attribute one meaning to their words while the congregation attributed another meaning.

In the modern world— the arian heresy is believed to have entered the catholic church byo liberation theology in the 1960’s. 100% of the time a church that becomes unglued as far as homosexuality and various other social issues —first adapts the low view of Christ.

That said, I’m glad you’re comfortable with the Nicene creed. I do know that there are many others in the Catholic church who are happy to recite the Nicene creed as well.
