THE GOSPEL - Be sure you are a Christian based on these four simple Bible truths!
1. Man sinned.
2. God is just, requiring a punishment for sin.
3. But out of love God sent His Son, Jesus Christ who by dying on the cross, provided forgiveness of sins in taking mans deserved punishment.
4. Therefore, by faith alone in Christs sacrifice for our sins and belief in His resurrection, man can gain eternal life.
(Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9-10, Romans 3:21-26)
So George Michael sang it right?
Agree. I would add repentance but basically the same.
“1. Man sinned. “
In our DNA.

Oh My. If anyone considers themselves a Christian based on this list - they are sadly mistaken.
What a horrible thing to post. Becoming a Christian is not hard, but this list is badly inaccurate.
Without repentance you cannot be saved.
II Cor. 7:10 Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.
And lets not forget confessing your sins.
Certainly that is necessary to becoming a Christian.

I also happen to believe that baptism is necessary to being saved.
As I said upthread - this list is terrible. So many basic requirements left out.
The ABCs of salvation.
I'm not saying that confessing your sins isn't a good thing to do, but in this passage, it appears the confessing he is talking about is confessing that Jesus is Lord.
I know it says somewhere, "confess your sins one to another", but I'm not sure that has to do with salvation, I think it has more to do with reconciling differences with your fellow man. Jesus reconciled our differences with The Father on The Cross.
What would you add? Just curious.
Ephesians 2:8-9 King James Version (KJV)
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Proverbs
I think if you apply Romans 10:9-13, John 6:29, and Acts 16:31 you are pretty much covered for Salvation.
Living a Christian life is a lifelong process and very difficult. Jesus Christ is essential for every part of it - John 14:6.
** Ephesians 2:8-9 King James Version (KJV)**
1. Ephesians was written to people already born again.
2. Mark 16:16 (direct from the Master’s mouth).
3. Acts 2:38, Peter’s words (in obedience to the Lord’s commands).
Romans 10:9-13 New International Version (NIV)
9 If you declare with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11 As Scripture says, Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.[a] 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentilethe same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.[b]

I agree, but you’ll find a lot of religious bigots here who believe that it’s “their way or the highway.” Best to ignore them and just enjoy the frothing.
Hear
Believe
Repent
Confess
Baptism.
These 5 steps are fundamental commandments.

How bizarre.
I clicked the link. Tabbed over to Becoming a Christian
https://teleiosresearch.com/become-a-christian/
And there on their own page is a hot link to the scripture that commands Confessing the Name of the Lord.
Romans 10:9-10
Some would argue that baptism is a “work”. But the Bible clearly teaches us that it is a sign of your salvation. Proof and evidence that you have been saved.
Jesus gave us all the Great Commission to teach and baptize. Look at all the examples of salvation in the book of Acts. All involved baptism. Before being saved? After being saved? Doesn’t matter.
Baptism is essential unto salvation.
