A Rapture Lexicon... (For those unfamiliar with it)

I dedicate this article to the many who have not been exposed to the doctrine of the Rapture, and who for the first time are being presented with it. It can be a bit daunting, and I truly hope this very basic lexicon may be of assistance to you. My Goal is to make this as accessible as possible, because these events are very soon to happen, and we want you to join us in them.

Rapture– The swift catching away of God’s true Saints at the end of the church Age. The Apostle Paul is one of the clearest teachers of this expectation,

But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words. ( I Thessalonians 4:13-18)

The Great Tribulation- This is the teaching in the Bible that Mankind will undergo the most severe time of testing and even judgment ever in human history. Several things will be occurring simultaneously,

For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened. ( Matthew 24:21-22)

Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the Lord, and for the glory of his majesty. The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day. For the day of the Lord of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low: ( Isaiah 2:10-12)

There are plenty of other names for this time, such as “The Day Of The LORD”, The Night, “Darkness”, the “Day of Vengeance”, and “The Time Of Jacob’s Trouble”.

We have a Righteous God, who utterly hates sin and evil, and will not overlook it. He will” by no means clear the guilty“, as He told Moses in Exodus 34.

The Great Tribulation is the time when God directly intervenes into Human affairs, and reveals his Righteous Wrath and Anger at the sins of the World. The Book of Revelation is the clearest picture of what the Tribulation will be like.

Daniel’s Seventieth Week- This phrase comes from the amazing time sensitive prophecy in Daniel 9, in which 540 years previous to Jesus coming, the Prophet Daniel was given the precise Date in which Jesus would present himself to the Jewish people, and be crucified.

Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. ( Daniel 9:24-27)

Daniel is praying in captivity, about the future of His people. They had been carried away to Babylon for their persistent sin, and The time had come for them to come back in the Land, the land God promised Abraham ,Isaac and Jacob forever. What would ultimately become of the people of God?

70 weeks are determined upon your people, and the Holy City… Literally, “Seventy sevens…”… In other Words 490 years will be given to the people of Israel/Judah.

To Finish the Transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

In other words , all of the purposes of God for Israel, will be accomplished within a 490 year period. All prophecy fulfilled, an end to their persistent breaches of faith, Atonement and reconciliation, recognition of the Messiah, and the inauguration of an Age of everlasting Righteousness.

The Stopwatch starts when the commandment comes to restore the (ruined city ) of Jerusalem.

Messiah the Prince arrives in Jerusalem …but is cut off…(not for himself but for the people)...

When Messiah was “cut off” at 483 years, the 490 year period was suspended. There still remains 7 years in which God will accomplish all of those things listed above in His people.

Apocalypse-An apocalypse refers to something that is suddenly revealed.The Last book of the Bible is referred to as the Apocalypse. The last thing the people of this earth are expecting ( for the most part) is the sudden appearance of Jesus Christ. They have no idea what is about to happen.

And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; ( 2 Thessalonians 1: 7-9)

The people who “know not God” are not going to be able to handle what is about to be revealed, (which is why we want to reach you), there is still time to get right with God!

And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? ( Revelation 6: 15-17)

Parousia- The Parousia is the same event as the Apocalypse, only seen from a different perspective. To unbelievers, the second coming will be an Apocalypse, totally unepected an stunning, staggering and terrifying.

But to those who know Jesus, and have been reconciled to God through the death of Messiah on the cross, his second coming is a Parousia, a long anticipated bodily arrival. The King we have expected has come unto us… the promise is fulfilled, “I go to prepare a place for you but I am coming again to receive you unto myself, that where I am, there you may be also…”. We knew He would come, we longed for Him to come!

When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.( 2 Thessalonians 1:10)

Epiphany- Epiphany is a compound word, “Epi” and Phanos” It means “Shining above”. The Second Coming of Jesus is going to be an Epiphany for the World.

For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the (Epiphany) brightness of his coming: 2 Thessalonians 2:7-8)

I would love for this to be interactive, do any of you have any Rapture Words or Phrases you think would be beneficial? Keep in mind I am aiming at the uninitiated… Grace and Peace.

If people comment on this it will probably spiral down to Pre-Trib, Mid- Trib, and Post Trib. I think Catholics don't believe because they say the Apocalypse happened in 70 AD. They don't want to get too far into Revelation because the Church at Thyatira is them and they are the church on 7 hills, and they murdered more saints than all other religions combined. The Whore of Babylon refers to the man made religion Nimrod came up with in Babylon and infected the church Jesus started in 33 AD. Constantine brought idol worship into the church, changed the Feast Days of Lev 23 into Easter and Christmas instead of Passover, First Fruits, and Tabernacles. The RCC changed the Sabbath to "The Lord's Day" to attract more sun worshipers into the church.

If you read the letters to the churches in Rev 2-3, you will see the Church at Philadelphia is the only one that will will be kept from the hour of trial coming on the whole earth. Much of the church will be left behind to face the Beast. Many think they are saved so they are going in the Rapture. Mat 25 speaks of "foolish virgins". They are church memebers that are double minded and haven't put away their flesh. This will be the "Apostate" church.

The Rapture will happen on some Feast of Trumpets because that's the only time the "Last Trump" blows. Trumpets is also the "Day no one knows the day or the hour" if you are Jewish, you know this. Trumpets lasts 2 days and only starts when the New Moon is seen by 2 priests in Jerusalem. The church will be taken out before the first seal is cut in Heaven.

Rev 4:1 states John heard a voice that sounded like a Trumpet saying come up here and he was next in the Throne Room of God. When Jesus cuts the first seal, a man on a white horse with a bow is revealed. This speaks of Nimrod as a hunter as a type for the Antichrist. Being on a white horse means he is pretending to be Jesus. Nimrod was a hunter of men according to the Septuagint. He is released to conquer the world and the 4 horsemen are the result of world war.

The people crying out under the altar in Rev 6:9-10 were killed for Christ that were left behind in the Rapture, the foolish virgins, or people that dedicate their life for real after the Rapture. There is a difference between The Bride of Christ that can't wait for His return, and "servants" that just do what they are required to do. Jesus will marry those that love Him, not just know about Him. There will even be those that are in the church body that He doesn't know at all. He tells those to depart from Me, I never knew you. They are people that call themselves Christians, but approve of abortion and sodomy, fornication and adultery, as an example. They call evil: good, and Good: evil. It will be a Pre- Trib rapture because His church is not the children of wrath. Noah was on the Ark 7 days before the rain of Judgement fell. Lot was removed from Sodom before the fire fell. As it was in the days of Noah and Lot.....

The 144,000 will be Jews that preach the Gospels after the church is gone. Without the Holy Spirit holding evil back, evil will abound. The pretenders calling themselves Christians will also still be here, but they will go along with the world system. The False Prophet (pope) will tell Christians to follow the Antichrist. "This is the One we have been waiting for". A billion Muslims, a billion Christians, and billions of other worldly system people will join to make a one world system and they will all hate the Jews.

The church will be with the Bridegroom for 7 years, witness the crowning of Jesus as King, and then return to earth with Jesus for 1000 years to rule and reign with an iron rod. The Sabbath will be restored as the Commandments say, and we will all go to Jerusalem for Tabernacles to worship or there will be no rain and there will be plagues.

Well,...get to disproving! Give some chapters and verses. I have the chapters and verses. Google who changed the Sabbath to Sunday. Who stopped the church from observing the Leviticus 23 Feast Days? Is it "doctrines of demons" to forbid marriage? Where are popes, nuns, and cardinals in Scripture?

If you worship idols, relics, ect, you aren't the "true church". Read up on Semiramis, Nimrod, Ashteroth, Tammuz. What is the city on 7 hills? What worldwide religion has fornicated with all the kings of the earth? Which religion has killed more Christians than all others put together?

No, I'm not 7th Day Adventist, I believe God's Word. He tells us hundreds of times to keep the Sabbath holy from Genesis to Revelation.

Isa 66:22 "For as the new heavens and the new earth Which I will make shall remain before Me," says the Lord, "So shall your descendants and your name remain.

Isa 66:23 And it shall come to pass That from one New Moon to another, And from one Sabbath to another, All flesh shall come to worship before Me," says the Lord.

Isa 66:24 "And they shall go forth and look Upon the corpses of the men Who have transgressed against Me. For their worm does not die, And their fire is not quenched. They shall be an abhorrence to all flesh."

After The Lord comes to destroy the Earth, He will again establish the 7th day Sabbath for eternity. Does a Catholic have 9 Commandments or 10? The 4th Commandment specifically addresses the 7th day Sabbath. Under who's authority was it changed?

Zec 14:16 And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

Zec 14:17 And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, on them there will be no rain.

Zec 14:18 If the family of Egypt will not come up and enter in, they shall have no rain; they shall receive the plague with which the Lord strikes the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

Zec 14:19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

Who stopped the observance of the Feast Days? What Biblical significance does Easter and Christmas represent in Scripture. Jesus died on Passover, was buried on Unleavened Bread, and rose from the grave on First Fruits. Passover and First Fruits NEVER happen on the same day as Easter, a pagan day added to us by the RCC. God calls observance of these days "an abomination" in Eze 8.

The religion started in Babylon under Nimrod is based on "works" to get to Heaven. Nimrod built the Tower to get to Heaven without God. How many "Our Fathers" and "Hail Mary's" can you say that will make a difference after Jesus Himself said to not have repetitive prayers? You can't pray in front of a statue and say you don't worship idols! Scripture plainly says Jesus is our one and only mediator between God and men, yet the RCC prays to Mary and a slew of other dead people that can't hear you and couldn't do anything about your prayer if they could hear you.

We agree on that. That's one more reason you will be left behind to face the Beast. Jesus made it plain He would come for His bride on the Feast of Trumpets for those that are "watching" for Him. You don't even think He's coming.

There are many verses in Scripture that talk about people without "ears to hear and eyes to see." The problem with most Catholics is they read Scripture in the flesh and not the Spirit. You need the Holy Spirit to read and understand Scripture because the Holy Spirit wrote it. All you have to do is read how the RCC got the name RCC. A roman took over the church Jesus started in the 4th century AD and began purging Jewish things out and substituted pagan rituals and religion in. God has made it plain that a Gentile believer MUST be "adopted", or "graphed in" into the chosen people like Joseph's children were adopted by Jacob. Paul made this plain in Romans 8,9,10. You cannot separate the Jewish things out and be in the Family of God. Jesus was a Jew, lived as a Jew, followed all Jewish Law and kept all the Feast Days and Sabbath's, and died as a Jew and is sitting in Heaven right now as the "Lion of Judah". After He ascended, His followers went to synagogue on the 7th day Sabbath and kept the Feast days as they could. That went on for about 300 years until Constantine changed all that. It's due to Antisemitism. Again, this stuff is easy to research if you care. It's not about slander, it's about historical truth and actually studying the Bible.

I don't have a denomination. I'm a believer in Scripture. Denomination is the traditions of men. Most denominations broke off from the RCC and carried at least some of the pagan practices with them. The main one was Sunday worship, the day the Romans worshiped the sun god.

Click on Google,...type in "Do Catholics believe in a Rapture" and then read. You are asking he right questions. Their opinion leaves out the other verses that support a Pre Tribulation Rapture.

To understand prophetical verses in the Bible, you MUST study the Leviticus 23 Feast Days. Even the 7th Day Sabbath is a prophesy about the 7th day rest in the 7th Millennium. The church will be "caught up", "snatched up" in the twinkling of an eye at the sound of the Last Trump. The only time the Last Trump blows is on the Feast of Trumpets. The "Great Trump" blows on Atonement and the "First Trump" blows on Pentecost. Pentecost marks the beginning of the church with the falling of the Holy Spirit and the Last Trump will mark the ending of the church with their removal on the Feast of Trumpets. Everyone else is left behind. The blowing of a Trumpet in Israel can be a calling together of an assembly or a warning of battle. The church will assemble with Jesus for the wedding and His crowning, and the ones left behind will begin their Tribulation.

Noah's Flood was a picture of this. Believers were put into the Ark 7 days before the rain of Judgement started. Read it in Genesis and see He built the Ark with many rooms and in the Fathers House there are many mansions. There are a dozen verses talking about the Bridegroom and the Bride come out of there rooms when they come back to earth to rule and reign after the "Indignation" is over. A complete study of the Feast Days will reveal all to you. This is why the devil doesn't want Christians to study Jewish things. This is why the RCC changed the calendar, changed the holy days, and no one teaches the Old Testament. It was the pope that forbade the observance of the Lord's Feasts days in Leviticus and substituted the pagan days of Easter and Christmas. The Old Testament is the New Testament concealed. The New Testament is the Old Testament revealed. Jesus told us in Mat 5 that He didn't come to destroy the Law, but to fulfill it. Today, many say we are no longer under the Law, but that is a lie. Jesus came to destroy the Law of sin and death. The wages of sin is death is no longer in effect if you are a child of God, but the 10 Commandments are still the Law we should uphold. Loving the Lord with all your heart mind soul and strength and loving your neighbor as yourself encompasses all the Law. The church At Philadelphia (church of Brotherly Love) will skip the trial coming on the whole earth. Rev 3:10. That is the Rapture before Tribulation. We must always keep in mind that the Rapture and the Second Coming are TWO separate things. The Rapture puts the Bride away for 7 years until the Wrath of God is over. Those that are left behind will feel the wrath of God because they weren't "watching" for Him to come. If you read the Parables, they mostly say "The Kingdom of Heaven is Like", and then follow with a story about servants or foolish virgins. Disobedient servants and foolish virgins won't be taken in the Rapture even if they call themselves "Christians". That is why there is weeping and gnashing of teeth. You will face the Beast and have to refuse the Mark of the Beast and die for Christ to be saved. Look at how many "Christians" that don't believe in Rapture that go to church, pay tithe, give to charity, and so on. They all will be left behind even though the world might think they would go in the Rapture. When they are beheaded by the Beast, they will be in Heaven as saints, but they aren't the Bride. They are the ones crying out under the altar in Rev 6:9-11. Notice they were called servants.

More than just Leviticus 23, learn about a Jewish wedding and the customs they did at the time of Jesus and you will understand more of what's coming. The groom, after paying the Bride price and making a place for them to consummate the marriage, will go out in the middle of the night usually to get his bride. A little way from the Brides home, The Bridegroom will shout and his bride that has been waiting up every night for his return will go out to meet him. Shouting and blowing trumpets is the same word in Hebrew. Inn the NT the word Midnight Cry was used.If you are a foolish virgin, you have been living every day as you want to and not looking for your husbands return and he will surprise you when you are not ready. He then takes his bride to a room he built and locks themselves in for the honeymoon.

I'm not a 7th Day Adventist. I believe in Scripture. I have a Bible software program and can type "Sabbath" into the search box and I get over 7 pages of verses telling me to worship on the 7th Day and keep it holy and set aside for God. The 7th Day was blessed by God and God marks His people with the 7th Day. Sunday is never mentioned to keep holy. In Scripture there are 2 Mediators mentioned, Moses and Jesus Christ. No popes, no cardinals, no nuns are mentioned. Now lets look at some catholic quotes....

“Of course the Catholic Church claims that the change [Saturday Sabbath to Sunday] was her act... And the act is a mark of her ecclesiastical authority in religious things” (H.F. Thomas, Chancellor of Cardinal Gibbons).

The Catholic Church claims that “the church is above the Bible, and this transference of Sabbath observance is proof of that fact” (Catholic Record of London, Ontario Sept 1, 1923).

You can see that the Popes believe they have authority to change the times and the Laws.

Dan 7:25 He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, Shall persecute the saints of the Most High, And shall intend to change times and law. Then the saints shall be given into his hand For a time and times and half a time.

If the pope decides to marry gays and accept abortion, will the RCC follow him because he has the authority to go against the Bible? It's not so far a distance to go from worshiping the sun god on Sunday to accepting gay marriage because many of your priests are gay pedophiles. This is why Scripture says forbidding to marry is doctrines of demons. A priest that is forbidden to marry is almost guaranteed to fail sexually over his lifetime.

The concerning thing for me is even thinking that you can take something in the Bible and change it on a whim. A man, any man, does not have the authority to do that. If he assumes that authority, now THAT is a cult!

Lot to unpack in that rant, and so much not true at all.

1. Catholics do not worship statues. That is plain false and just dumb. Do you really think that anyone really thinks that a statue of Mary is actually Mary?!

2. The Sabbath was transferred to Sunday because that is the day of Christ’s Resurrection. Read the early Church Fathers who predated any claim that Constantine had anything to do with it.

3. The Church has the power to do this. It’s the power Jesus gave to bind and loose.

4. No the Pope doesn’t have the power to change doctrine, and they never have. That is a protection of the Petrine office, much as the same as when Peter wrote his books. If there isn’t a protection against error in faith and morals then you wind up with what had happened in Protestant sects, where gay marriage is not only tolerated but celebrated and endorsed.

5. Concerning celebacy your Lord said of it “
“Not all can accept this word, but only those to whom it is granted. Some are incapable of marriage because they were born so; some, because they were made so by others; some, because they have renounced marriage for the sake of the kingdom of God. 6. The Rapture theology is only about 200 years old and started with the Scofield Bible. Since it’s only 200, and not 2000 years old, then it could never have been taught by Christ and the early Church. Please see https://www.catholic.com/tract/the-rapture for more information.

Lastly the Bible you quote, before Luther cut 6 books and added the word alone to faith (and what does God say about that?) came from us. In fact Luther acknowledged that fact in his writting, thanking the “Papists” for the Bible. There is also more that Jesus taught and said than is written in the Bible. That is why he told his disciples to go out and preach the gospel, not make a bunch of copies of it and pass it around like a Jack Chick track, which is where you get a lot of your information, isn’t it? The Bible came from the Church, not the other way around.

The Rapture is Protestant, not Catholic, so leave us out of your mud slinging.

Rome is built on 7 hills and is known over the world as that city. You are going to argue over a few hundred feet over a river? I'm not going to spend all my time arguing with you because you just want to argue and not study what I'm saying. It's your salvation, not mine. I have asked questions that you never answered. The answers are in Scripture, not some man's paper written in the 11th or 12th century.

The RCC didn't start until the 4th century under Constantine. Many Christians including Peter were killed by Rome before Constantine. One question to answer about Peter was why was his church chosen for a pagan obelisk in it's courtyard? The Obelisk was a pagan symbol from Egypt and moved to Italy for Nero, another pagan and then erected at Peters church. Why are there satanic adorned rooms under the Vatican and what are they used for?

Sunday Sabbath- council of Laodicea 326 AD, relic worship-337 AD, rosary-366 AD, the mass-394 AD, indulgences-799 AD, Mary worship-850 AD, forbidding the Bible-1299 AD, infant baptism-1311 AD, and tradition above Scripture-1563 AD, are all un-Biblical rulings by the RCC that have no basis in Scripture and are "Traditions of Men". Almost everything you do in church is from wrong interpretation of Scripture. Ask yourself if the RCC looks anything like a Messianic Jewish church of today or the Christian church Jesus and the Apostles started at around 100 AD?

Jesus followed every Law, every custom, every calendar day mentioned in Scripture because He wrote it. He died sinless because He followed every Law written in the Torah. The prophets foretold of Him for thousands of years before and after He came. Jesus was told His mother and brothers were waiting for Him outside and He said the people in the room were His family, yet RCC's say Mary was somehow worthy of worship and Jesus had no brothers because that would mean Mary would have had sex with her husband. From a Protestant Bible Readers point of view, The RCC is bizarre to even contemplate what is clearly written in the Bible.James is clearly shown to be in charge of the church after Jesus ascended and Peter is never mentioned. James nor anyone else is mentioned as a pope in Scripture.

If you read Revelation 17-18 it jumps off the pages that the RCC is the Whore of Babylon. Who wears red purple and gold? Do you drink from a Golden cup? Who has killed more Christians than the RCC? They have wiped out millions that dare to disagree with some pope that was born a bastard child of some king fornicating with the church. Some of your popes were children born out of wedlock.

Pope Benedict IX was the Pope three separate times between the years 1032 and 1048. The circumstances surrounding his papacy have been said to be unorthodox as he was given this post through an act of bribery. His father bribed the people at the Roman Empire so as to allow his son take charge. He was ordained to become a pope at an age between the age of 11 and 20. He is documented as the only pope who held the post on three separate occasions. His legacy as pope did not end well as it is believed he sold his papacy to his successor.

Pope John XII this young man became pope at the age of 18 years. He reigned as pope for the period between the years 937 and 964.

Pope John the XI who became pope at the age of 20. He reigned from 931 until his death in 935. No one really knows the father to John the XI as two men claimed paternity to him. His mother was regarded to be very powerful in Rome.

Pope Gregory V began serving in the church as a chaplain at very tender age before even become pope. He took the mantle of papacy in the year 996 and ruled until 999 when he passed away. He was aged 24 years when he was conferred the title of pope. Just like most of his predecessors, he too hailed from the royal family of popes which may explain why he was pope at such a young age.

The shaping of the RCC started with Roman paganism and was molded by sexual connection to kings and bribery and corruption.

Look at the Jewish life of Jesus and His Apostles and compare it to the marble and granite palaces we have today in modern churches. Almost no one worships on the same day Jesus and His people did. Almost no one celebrates Passover and First Fruits. (BTW, Today is Passover. When is Easter? Never the same day.) Where did eggs and rabbits come from on Easter? What chapter verse is that? Jesus was born on Tabernacles, yet we somehow have Christmas and Santa, elves, and reindeer.

Jer 10:1 Hear the word which the Lord speaks to you, O house of Israel.

Jer 10:2 Thus says the Lord: "Do not learn the way of the Gentiles; Do not be dismayed at the signs of heaven, For the Gentiles are dismayed at them.

Jer 10:3 For the customs of the peoples are futile; For one cuts a tree from the forest, The work of the hands of the workman, with the ax.

Jer 10:4 They decorate it with silver and gold; They fasten it with nails and hammers So that it will not topple.

Jer 10:5 They are upright, like a palm tree, And they cannot speak; They must be carried, Because they cannot go by themselves. Do not be afraid of them, For they cannot do evil, Nor can they do any good."

That's what the Bible says about Christmas trees.

I'm not picking on just the RCC for the break off churches of the RCC took much of the Biblical error with them. If your church leader wears a robe and collar, chances are good that they don't observe Biblical wisdom. God told His people things to bless them and to avoid curses. It's up to you to read and follow what God said, not what some carnal man said that lived 1000 years ago. In the spiritual language of the Bible, women are churches/denominations, and they're break offs are called daughters. Luther broke off from the mother church because he saw error, but Luther was also one of the most antisemitic people that ever lived. He most likely learned that from the mother church.

You can just peruse the available churches that are out there today and know that if Jesus came in and set down, most of them would probably throw Him out. In the Bible it states that they tried to throw Him off a hill. What we have invented and spread is NOT what Jesus brought to the earth. He said we are saved by faith through His grace and that's it. If it got anymore complicated than that no one would be saved at all. Knowing Scripture teaches how to gather treasure in Heaven and for blessing from God. It really gets down to wanting to be a street sweeper in heaven, or be a leader and highly venerated guest at the table of God. He tells us to sit lower on the table and He will move us up. If you set too high at the table you will most likely get moved down. We all think more highly about ourselves than we ought to. The RCC is so far off, IMO, that many may not even make it. Jesus told John they must "come out of her" in Revelation. If you treasure being a Catholic more than being a born again blood bought believer, that is idol worship. You won't make it because you joined a certain denomination. That is a cult.

I've met many Catholics that believe they are going to heaven because they are a Catholic. We see baby killers in congress and Mafia murderers that get the whole Magilla at their funerals from Catholic priests, even Bishops. Being a Catholic won't save you, and in fact it could cloud your thinking where you may never get saved. If you can't read what the Bible clearly says, you may have scales on your eyes and ears that will never hear.
