“There are plenty of other names for this time, such as ‘The Day Of The LORD’, The Night, ‘Darkness’, the ‘Day of Vengeance’, and ‘The Time Of Jacob’s Trouble’.”
Can you support that either the Great Tribulation or Daniel’s seventieth week are equivalent to the Day of the Lord?
I find that these are separate and distinct times. The most clear demarkation is the sign of a simultaneous (apparently) solar and lunar eclipse:
Matthew 24:29 (NKJV)
Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
Acts 2:20 (NKJV)
The sun shall be turned into darkness,
And the moon into blood,
Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.
I do not believe that Daniel’s seventieth week is the Day of the LORD, although I believe the Great Tribulation leads directly into the Day of the LORD. Jesus’ describes the Great Tribulation ( Matthew 24:14-16) as leading to the Darkening of the Sun and Moon, (Matthew 24:29-30)
