Coronavirus Prayer Thread

We're on a countdown to Easter and this week is slated by experts and leaders to be among the worst we've seen in terms lives affected or lost.

The media remains as unhinged as ever in their efforts to tear down the President and his administration at any cost.

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson is in the ICU.

There is discord in Washington, as there are in hospitals all over the country regarding how we are to tackle the virus with the limited means at our disposal (IE: what drugs to try.) Meanwhile lives are physically hanging by a thread in many instances. We must pray that the forces of evil do not have their way and seek God's wisdom in every scientific undertaking.

There are too many higher-ups with personal agendas at stake. Agendas that have nothing to do with saving lives.

In the spirit of Passover (also this week) let's pray for a RED SEA surge of Almighty God's awesome and mighty power. A breakthrough in what seems like the most insurmountable oceans and mountains that seem to stand in our way.

Let us pray.

PSALM 20

1 May the Lord answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.
2 May he send you help from the sanctuary and grant you support from Zion.
3 May he remember all your sacrifices and accept your burnt offerings.

5 May we shout for joy over your victory and lift up our banners in the name of our God.

May the Lord grant all your requests.

6 Now this I know: The Lord gives victory to his anointed.
He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary with the victorious power of his right hand.
7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.
8 They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm.
9 Lord, give victory to the king! Answer us when we call!

Please God, please let this drug cocktail be the miracle that we all need so that no one else has to die from this virus. We live in Spain and are in almost total lockdown. All we can do is go out for supplies. I have to do all of the outside work because my wife has an illness that weakens her immune system. I was waiting outside of the store this morning for my turn to get in when I saw one of the nuns from the small chapel near us come up with her little pull-behind shopping cart. I don’t go to church but I call the nuns mis hermanas, my sisters. I appreciate what they do to minister to the poor in our town. I told her to fill her shopping cart and wait for me near the checkout line. I had only come in to buy bleach to use as a disinfectant cleaner so I waited while she filled her bag then when she was done I got into the checkout line in front of her and told the cashier to ring up both of our orders together. The nun tried to thank me but I said “No, gracias necesarias. Reza por mi esposa.”
