That’s good to hear, but it is more than one parish.

It’s the whole Buffalo/Western NY area, and sadly, much of the Syracuse area.

According to a RealClear Opinion Research poll sponsored by EWTN and published on Monday, 47% of Catholics in the U.S. believe abortion is “intrinsically evil,” while a 53% hold otherwise. A majority — 51% — say that abortion should be legal in all or most cases, with 31% saying it should be legal except for late-term cases and 20% saying it should always be legal.

Overall such Teddy K Catholics are manifestly considered to be members in life and in death. And Catholics are not supposed to be like evangelicals, and thus determine the validity of church teaching based upon their judgment of what ancient church teaching is, but broadly speaking,

'the one duty of the multitude is to allow themselves to be led, and, like a docile flock, to follow the Pastors," "to suffer themselves to be guided and led in all things that touch upon faith or morals by the Holy Church of God through its Supreme Pastor the Roman Pontiff," "of submitting with docility to their judgment," with "no discussions regarding what he orders or demands, or up to what point obedience must go, and in what things he is to be obeyed... not only in person, but with letters and other public documents ;" and 'not limit the field in which he might and must exercise his authority, " for "obedience must not limit itself to matters which touch the faith: its sphere is much more vast: it extends to all matters which the episcopal power embraces," and not set up "some kind of opposition between one Pontiff and another. Those who, faced with two differing directives, reject the present one to hold to the past, are not giving proof of obedience to the authority which has the right and duty to guide them," "Nor must it be thought that what is expounded in Encyclical Letters does not of itself demand consent." (Sources http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/religion/3578348/posts?page=14#14)

don't see how you are..in any other way improving the Church, by leaving it.

Scripture commands such:

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. (2 Corinthians 6:14,17-18) 1

Instead, RCs like you evidently want conservative evangelicals to leave their conservative evangelicals fellowships and become brethren with the likes of Nancy.

In addition to distinctive Catholic teachings that are not manifest in the only wholly inspired substantive authoritative record of what the NT church believed , which is Scripture, in particular Acts through Revelation, which best shows how the NT church understood the gospels:

Define Catholic.

Among other basic professions,

We acknowledge the primacy of the Pope and respect the office of the papacy as the true teaching authority of the Church. We seek guidance for moral decisions from the pope and the bishops in communion with him. - https://www.bostoncatholic.org/what-does-it-mean-be-catholic

It seems the majority of vocal RCs here can say, "We find fault with the pope and the bishops in communion with him."

Yet consistent with the premise that leadership defines what the RCC believes and how it is to be understood, seeing as Rome manifestly consider Teddy K Catholics to be members in life and in death, then so are the laity.

... I don't see how you are "instructing the ignorant," "admonishing sinners" ---practicing the Spiritual Works of Mercy --- or in any other way improving the Church, by leaving it.

Well; neither does the Book that Rome assembled:

Revelation 18:4-5 King James Version

And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

Not Free Republic Roman Catholics! At least based on the number of daily threads and posts against their pope.

FR Roman Catholics should apologize to the Reformers.

The Church’s greatest strength has always been that it’s NOT a democracy.

Start taking votes on stuff like this and we’re on the slippery slope to oblivion.

Abortion is killing.

It’s a sin against the commandment, “Thou shalt not kill.”

You don’t think that’s speaking to you? Listen.

Since Rome claims the Church was started BEFORE these verses; the warning appears to be aimed in your direction.

 Acts 20:28-31

28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.

29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. 30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. There's no doubt that that has happened in he past, in numerous, painful times of trial and testing, and is happening right now: I am convinced of that.

It's Satan who wants to scatter the flock. And when the wolves come, Jesus says, the hireling runs away because he's just a hired hand: he doesn't care abut the sheep because he's just in it for the money. The true shepherd does not run and let the sheep scatter. He stays and fights. That's why the Church on Earth is called the Church Militant. We're not supposed to split or scatter. We're supposed to stand our ground. We are all part of this fight.

Revelation 3 doesn't say to come out of the Catholic Church. In fact, Jesus said He would be with the Church always, and that He would send the Holy Spirit to guide her into all truth.

It says to come out of "Babylon the Great", the "Great City". There are other candidates for the "Great City" in the prophecy. It could be a nation of unparalleled material wealth and global commercial and military reach, which had enjoyed many of God's blessings, but also incurred great blood guilt.

Say --- to mention just one example ---one which killed 60m of her own innocent children? There are probably a lot of for that role. MKay, can you think of any?

What else WAS there?

You Catholics say Jesus started it; so...

Yet you Catholics accept the voice of 'apparitions' to tell you and teach you and guide you.

Heresy and infidelity arising amongst the Christian faithful? I observe that that has happened throughout the whole of Christian, making repentance and renewal a requirement in every age. You know something about the history of the many groups of believers starting with those founded by Paul, John, and so forth -— right?

Private revelation is not part of the Deposit of Faith. No doctrine of the Church is based on private revelation. But you knew that, surely.
