you are correct.
and here’s a statistic to give to the pro-”choicers”
Poland in the 1990s went from a free-for-all abortions to banning it except in the cases of
incest
rape
harm to mother’s health or life
foetal health
these are the 4 items which pro-baby-death folk use to justify abortion.
The number of abortions went down to 2% of what they were before.
Extrapolate that to the USA and you can say that out of the 1 million babies killed each year, only about 20K were due to incest, rape, damage to mother’s health.
Yet the pro-deathers want to kill 980K per year...
Uh, the book of Revelation was written well AFTER the 2nd temple was destroyed...Guess it wasn't much of a Revelation after all...But hey, don't let the facts get in the way of your religious theory...
We Christians will be with the Lord DURING the Tribulation while the Catholics, Muzlims and atheists are running all over the place trying to avoid the plagues that he will unleash...
The book of revelation was written during the persecutions of Nero.
You have ancient evidence for that — the Syriac version of the book of revelation began by stating taht it was “written in Patmos, to which john was sent by Nero Caesar” - as does the “History of John, the Son of Zebedee”, another 2nd century Syriac work.
And even within the book we see that it was written during a time of persecution (Rev 1:9, 2:10, 12:11, 13:15)
Domitians reign didn’t see such widespread Christian persecutions as Neros - for instance, read Tacitus who relates
“Nero amused himself by the torture of these Christians.
Mockery of every sort was added to their deaths. Covered with the skins of beasts, they were torn by dogs and perished, or were nailed to crosses, or were doomed to the flames and burnt, to serve as nightly illumination, when day had expired.”
The text of the book as in Rev 17 talks about “they are also seven kings, five of which have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come, and when he comes he must remain a little while”
The seven kings as Josephus, Suetonius (non-Christian writers) listed:
1. Julius Caesar
2. Augustus
3. Tiberius
4. Caligula
5. Claudius
6. Nero
7. Galba
Nero was the 6th and Galba reigned for a few months.
Finally there ther eis the Nero’s name in Hebrew numbers as 666.
And the author says in Rev 1:1 “The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants WHAT MUST SOON TAKE PLACE” -
Rev 1:3 “the Time is NEAR”
Rev 22:6-7 “I am coming soon”
Well, you aren’t Christian, are you?
A Christian would believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.
elieve in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one Being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
he came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit
he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary,
and was made man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.
believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come.
Now we Christians believe in a Triune God - the Trinity.
Whatever you may want to call yourself Iscool, you don’t believe the above.
We are all living in eternity right now...It's not eternity in heaven (yet) for us still living but it's still eternity...But no, Paul did not say eternity begins right after the 2nd Coming...Paul says we Christians will be with the Lord after and prior to the 2nd Coming...
There is no doubt that the Christians on FR are far more equipped to handle the scriptures more and better than you are...You seem to insist upon stabbing yourself with the Sword of the Lord...
Nero’s persecution of Christians was most generally in and around Rome. Go back to your father’s abode. The antichrist spirit you serve is not duping most here at FR.
The Kingdom of Heaven is here
Nero’s persecution of Christians was in Rome and emulated in the cities of Asia Minor - Ephesus, Smyrna etc.
Much to your great surprise you will soon be commanded to axxept the mark of the beast. You have been warned.z
If you read the book of revelation you see it starts first with talking of another sign
in 7:2-3 we have ‘Then I saw another angel ascend from the rising of the sun, with the seal of the living God, and he called with a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm earth and sea, 3 saying “Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God upon their foreheads”’
What is this seal? the “sealing of the saints” is taken from Ezekiel 9 “and the Lord said to him, ‘Go through the city, through Jerusalem, and put a mark upon the foreheads of the men who sign and groan over all the abominations that are committed in it’
And to the others he said in my hearing ‘Pass through the city after him and smite; your eye shall not spare, and you shall show no pity; slay old men outright, young men and maidens, little children and women, but touch no one upon whom is the mark.
Ezekiel 9:4-6
The word for “mark” in Hebrew is the Hebrew letter Taw, which in paleo-Hebrew script is a Cross.
The early Church Fathers saw this as the sign of the Cross made on the forehead of believers.
And how does this relate to the opposite sign of the beast?
The book of revelations shows Satan trying the opposite - just as we start the book talking about the Lamb that is slain, we see later Satan trying to make a mockery of that lamb.
The same with the sign - the sign that has the name 666. The coin of Nero.
Agree
Really...
All of the Old Testament promises to Israel have been fulfilled???
God says in the Kingdom of Heaven Jesus will physically reign as the King of Kings from a Throne in the city of Jerusalem, Israel...Where people will travel worldwide to come and worship him...
Are you telling us that He has been replaced by a robe wearing homosexual imposter who hates Israel and loves Israel's enemies who sits on a throne in Rome while this king's court consists of hundreds more homos going around in pink robes while wearing what looks like pink p***y hats, and the guards of this 'holy father' look like figures out of an Alice in Wonderland cartoon???
That's your kingdom of heaven???
(what you have is an effeminate impostor sitting on the wrong throne in the wrong city at the wrong time of history who is the wrong 'holy father'...)You may have your secular history down pat, I don't know...I do however know the Kingdom of Heaven won't start til Jesus has ALL his enemies under his feet, and not before...That includes Izlam and it's sister religions...
And I do know the Kingdom of Heaven STARTS at the culmination of the church age...There will be no Catholic pope in the Kingdom of Heaven...There will be no Catholic in the Kingdom of Heaven...
And those who deny the Great Tribulation are going to be there...
+1
Mt 4:23 "the gospel of the kingdom"
Jesus came not to abolish the old covenant but to fulfill it.
This Kingdom is not an earthly political power - as Jesus Himself said "My Kingdom is not of this earth"
This is apparent in Rev 1:6 "and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Fatherto him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen"
The Kingdom is God's covenant family, present in the Church. Through the sacramental life, mankind is brought into God's family again.
The Kingdom is especially present at the Eucharistic celebration in the presence of the King, Priest and Sacrifice and Lamb - Jesus the Christ
John in the book of the revelation shows how the Divine Liturgy is the Kingdom
Jesus fulfills the vision of the son of man through the liturgy
The millenium summarizes God's work in salvation history - it was 1000 years between King David and JesusThe New Testament period is mediated by Christ, not the angels
No, there isn't. It says "no man knows." Present tense at the time of the writing.
And the word "The Church" is used interchangeable with the Kingdom of heaven as we see in John 3:15, Matt 7:21, 9:35, 16:13-20 and Luke 11:20
The Kingdom benefits were already available - we are, and since 33 AD have been living in the spiritual kingdom of God and its blessings have already arrived
Daniel talks of the Roman Empire (the iron mixed with clay) that is destroyed by the rock not hewn by Human hands - namely Jesus - and Christianity is the mountain that covers thw rold
The Messiah and His Kingdom were foretold to be coming during the fourth kingdom of Daniel's vision, when the roman empire ruled over jerusalem the harlot city of 69 AD
During that time, Christ would set up His Kingdom, which would grow to encompass the world
This fits in with Jesus' teaching of the mustard seed (Matt 13:31-32)
Thus Daniel gave us the timing for the inauguration of the Kingdom of Heaven - namely at the Pentecost
Let's go to the Matthew 24:21 "one is taken and one is left" -- note, not "left behind" but "left"
Zechariahs 9:9 says "lo, your King comes to you; triumphant and victorius is He, humble and riding on an ass,on a colt the foal of an ass"
This links with the Messiah's dominion from sea to sea
When Jesus came he rode into Jerusalem on a colt
He set up his Church that stretches into every corner of the world a part of the Kingdom that is essentially ecclesiastical
You must also remember that at the pinnacle of the Davidic kingdom King Solomon dedicated the first Temple stating that the Davidic kingdom extended from teh river of Egypt to the Euphrates
in the Olivet discourse, when the 2nd temple fell Chritianity was freed from the harlot city where the Lord was crucified
Heaven celebrates the Kingdom's establishment before the very first seal
God's promises to Israel of land from Nile to Euphrates was espoused by King Solomon! A 1000 (yes a millenium) before Christ
And those who live in the kingdom of God are true and beloved to god - that includes many people calling themselves Protestants but who believe in the Triune God
Which brings me to the point, Iscool - why would you continue to deny the Trinity? God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit?
As I said, you arent Christian, are you?
A Christian would believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.

And what percentage of THESE were EVER prosecuted for the crime??
