The religion is similar to cancer. Initially there are no symptoms, no pain, little violence. The host is blissfully unaware of the lurking danger. As the tumor grows, it gradually lets it’s presence known. Pain & violence increases rapidly. Finally it spreads and grows every where and kills the host.

Muslims are so angered by him calling them hateful, they now have a Fatwa against him.

Not quite true. There are some Hindus in India that have slaughtered Christians, not to mention that many of the Japanese who committed war crimes were Buddhist.
However, right now Islam appears to be the turd in the World' punchbowl.

That’s half the problem.
Gotta rid the world of Marxists, too.

Well...at least I have not seen many news clips of antifa beheading people with blunt un-anesthetized knives....yet. I can’t think of any more brutal method of killing a human being than cutting the neck off lasting several minutes. Guillotine is the least painful death. It is so swift. Chemical injections not so bad because the convict is put to sleep first. Hanging and electric chair have to be painful.

After the Crusade against the Cathars, I think. That was 800 years ago. I suspect the monk is talking about modern times.
To: ealgeone
History says otherwise. As an example, The Inquisition was initiated by the Roman Catholic church. In 500 years of the Inquisition, 2400 people were killed. That's 2400 more than should've been killed by followers of Christ, but still.
In the 20th Century, atheism (Communist Russia, China, SE Asia, Nazi Germany) were responsible for over 200,000,000 deaths...FAR more than any religion.
To: Roman_War_Criminal
Cuz it’s not a religion...it’s a political system for total submission.
To: entropy12
I think that that is a good analogy.

Rome still maintains the office that began the Inquisition.
They just renamed it to The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.

That is probably true.
Most people are of the 8live and let live* mentality.
Far as I can see, islam is the only religion actively trying to control the world and the lives of everyone in it.

Wirathu claims, without the slightest evidence, that the images are of Buddhists who were attacked by Muslims...
Doesn’t sound like the article is a condemnation of islam at all.

I disagree. The Holocaust is deadly proof all religions cannot live together. I do not think the Nazi regime was connected to the Islamists.
Actually the Nazi's admired Islam, and worked with many Arab leaders...

Branded the Face of Buddhist Terror by Time magazine, Wirathu has his own compound within the Masoeyein monastery in Mandalay.
IT’S NOT AN ANTI MUSLIM ARTICLE.
Does ANYONE read the articles anymore.
The article considers the Buddhist the terrorist as shown above.
Sheesh.

No, they are just being lumped in with Jews and Christians as hateful alt-right xenophobes in some circles.
I trust the faux love affair of the woke with Buddhism and the “I love Bollywood” crowd will begin to diminish.

Liberals do not always cut your throat off. Beheading non-believers is strictly practiced by only 1 religion. I don't believe you, no religion demands subjugation by taxation, forced conversion, enslavement or beheading of anyone in another religion...

No one said it was “OK” - its a false comparison (islam vs Inquisition) commonly used by dhimmis to justify murder by muslims to show how evil Christians are. You will note that killing and lying about Islam are not only permitted in Islam but justified. And as you will note neither of those two things are permitted or justified in Christianity.

You are correct. The article was written by a Politically Correct kind of “journalist”, as you point out.
But Wirathu is right! Even if the “journalist” doesn’t think so.
