What Is Better, Catholic or Protestant? Francis: “Both of Them Together”

The Youth Pastoral Office of Magdeburg diocese, Germany, will organize an October 2020 “ecumenical pilgrimage” for young people to Rome.

The motto of the journey is “With Luther to the Pope”. A similar trip was already taken in 2016.

The pilgrimage is co-organized by the regional Protestant State church, although the Protestants repudiate pilgrimages.

On the trip's webpage Mit-Luther-zum-Papst.de, the tour operator, Hans Höffmann, remembers what Pope Francis said to the participants of the 2016 pilgrimage when asked by a youngster: "What is better, Catholic or Protestant? Francis answered in German: "Both of them together!”

Martin Luther attended school in Magdeburg as a boy. As a preacher, he led the city to defect from the Church. Magdeburg became the first major city to publish Luther’s writings.

Jesus didn't found any org; he expanded his already existing Kehillah.

That “Upper room” was Solomon's Porch on the mount, where millions were gathered for the Feast of Shavuot, a rerquired annual gathering.

Don’t expect any responses to those beyond evasion and subject changing.

And me preemptively calling out the evasion and subject changing.

Assuming, of course, that there was an apparition at all and it wasn’t just a cynical ploy to divest frightened people of their money. *Coughindulgencescough*

Bergoglio is a heretic.

Mighty bold talk for a one-eyed fat man.

Show the evidence to the court; please.

"In an extreme situation, Protestant in danger of death could receive he Sacrament of Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick, probably all the prayers and sacraments for the Dying. You hear about this happening in situations of war, epidemic and natural disaster.

Read your Bible.

That 'Faith without works' guy wrote:

James 1:22-24

The last catholic mass I went to was a baptism for my cousins son. It was a blasphemous campaign commercial for Obama. Outright political homily and all the other Mary stuff thrown in. No thanks.

Good John references.

  1. John 2:13
And the pasch of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
John 2:12-14 (in Context) John 2 (Whole Chapter)
  2. John 2:23
Now when he was at Jerusalem, at the pasch, upon the festival day, many believed in his name, seeing his signs which he did.
John 2:22-24 (in Context) John 2 (Whole Chapter)
  3. John 6:4
Now the pasch, the festival day of the Jews, was near at hand.
John 6:3-5 (in Context) John 6 (Whole Chapter)
  4. John 11:55
And the pasch of the Jews was at hand; and many from the country went up to Jerusalem, before the pasch to purify themselves.

What does LUKE, the good doctor, say?

Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition (DRA)

Luke 22

1Now the feast of unleavened bread, which is called the pasch, was at hand.

2And the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might put Jesus to death: but they feared the people.

3And Satan entered into Judas, who was surnamed Iscariot, one of the twelve.

4And he went, and discoursed with the chief priests and the magistrates, how he might betray him to them.

5And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money.

6And he promised. And he sought opportunity to betray him in the absence of the multitude.

7And the day of the unleavened bread came, on which it was necessary that the pasch should be killed.

8And he sent Peter and John, saying: Go, and prepare for us the pasch, that we may eat.

9But they said: Where wilt thou that we prepare?

10And he said to them: Behold, as you go into the city, there shall meet you a man carrying a pitcher of water: follow him into the house where he entereth in.

11And you shall say to the goodman of the house: The master saith to thee, Where is the guest chamber, where I may eat the pasch with my disciples?

12And he will shew you a large dining room, furnished; and there prepare.

13And they going, found as he had said to them, and made ready the pasch.

14And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him.

15And he said to them: With desire I have desired to eat this pasch with you, before I suffer.

16For I say to you, that from this time I will not eat it, till it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.

17And having taken the chalice, he gave thanks, and said: Take, and divide it among you:

18For I say to you, that I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, till the kingdom of God come.

19And taking bread, he gave thanks, and brake; and gave to them, saying: This is my body, which is given for you. Do this for a commemoration of me.

20In like manner the chalice also, after he had supped, saying: This is the chalice, the new testament in my blood, which shall be shed for you.

21But yet behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table.

22And the Son of man indeed goeth, according to that which is determined: but yet, woe to that man by whom he shall be betrayed.

23And they began to inquire among themselves, which of them it was that should do this thing.

And they are as worthless when applied to Protestants as when applied to Catholics. The final exam is a one question test - do you know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior? If you do nothing can separate you from Him not even death. If you do not all the man made sacraments in the world won’t help you. It’s pretty simple.

Kinda sums it up right there!

Jesus once asked the disciples...who do you say I am?

Catholicism is a Christian-syncretic pagan religion that sadly doesn’t teach the Gospel that leads to salvation.

Mainstream Protestant denominations are similar in many ways.

Yet there are still churches that haven’t bowed the knee to Baal.

A Christian though, now we are talking about only the saved.

Are you saved Salvation?

“They are members of the church founded by Jesus Christ.”

It is a different church that teaches different things and has lost the Gospel of Grace a thousand years ago.

Today, it is the world’s largest gay religious organization.

Also, the largest religious sexual abuser of children.

And liberal.

Definitely not the church Christ founded.
