Police in Guthrie, Oklahoma say they found a rattlesnake, a canister of radioactive powdered uranium and an open bottle of Kentucky Deluxe whiskey during a traffic stop of a vehicle that had been reported stolen.
The traffic stop happened June 26 in Guthrie, about 30 miles (45 kilometers) north of Oklahoma City. Guthrie police Sgt. Anthony Gibbs told Oklahoma City TV station KFOR that police don't know why the uranium was in the vehicle or how it was obtained, though uranium ore can be bought on Amazon.
Gibbs says police also found a gun in the console and a terrarium in the backseat containing a pet Timber rattlesnake.
Gibbs says the driver, Stephen Jennings, was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, transporting an open container of liquor and driving with a suspended license.
Jennings remains jailed in Logan County.

On Live PD a policeman went to investigate a complaint about a vagrant in a parking lot.
The cop searched the vagrants backpack, found a large cucumber, pornography and a Natty Daddy. The cop shook his head, told the vagrant to move along.

Prior to arrest he was heard to say, "hold my beer and watch this S-it!"
America is great again.
So did the guy steal from someone who left their snake, uranium, and whiskey in the car? Or did he bring his own snake, uranium, and whiskey along for the ride?
The uranium was yellow cake. It was a small quantity. And oddly enough...possession thereof isnt illegal. The rattlesnake was executed by the authorities. The couple remain jailed. No real explanation for the possession of either the yellowcake or the snake. But there has to be a good country & western song in there somewhere.
One heck of mixed drink to power you up. Whiskey, uranium, and snake blood. WUS cocktail.
Sounds like good fodder for a new country western song: stolen truck, rattlesnake, whiskey and uranium!
Or a George Thorogood song
I have a few rattlesnake rattles from my trips with my buddies to camp on the South Dakota prairie to shoot prairie dogs, eat Dinty Moore stew and drink beer. On vacations I would tie a rattlesnake rattle to the mirror on my van and put note in the window that I was not responsible for rattlesnake bites. Van was never touched.
