Because of the fall of man in the Garden, the specter of sexual anarchy always haunts societies. Societies without a strong moral ethos to suppress this destructive behavior are vulnerable to it. Affluent societies are particularly vulnerable to homosexuality as the scripture indicates above. Historically, most societies, for purposes of self-preservation, do not allow homosexuality to go open and uncontested (e.g. African Nations, Soviet Union, poor nations, etc.). However, when a corrupt religious establishment promotes it, it flourishes.
I have speculated in this series of articles that Sodom and Gomorrah may have had churches, because only a corrupt religious establishment could defend and enable such destructive behavior and coerce people to suppress their natural God-given instinct against it to allow this perversion. So in a sense, this is a religious delusion on a mass scale.
A public library in Texas a couple weeks ago was set to sponsor a “Drag Queen Story Hour” event. Thankfully, a public outcry caused the event to be cancelled. A liberal progressive Church in the same town then took up and mantle and hosted the event in its sanctuary in the name of love, tolerance, inclusion, and Christ!? This, just a few short weeks after a similar event was held in Houston, Texas where convicted pedophiles were invited to speak to kids!? Sadly, this is beginning to occur all over our nation.
Islamic societies too, while making an outward show of objection to homosexuality, are permissive to masculine homosexuality, pederasty (e.g. Afgahnistan), and sexually dominating your military conquests (e.g. Libyan rape of Mohamar Khadafi and Amb. Christopher Stevens, etc.)[1] On a recent trip to Dubai, a Chinese Christian Businessman took me on a tour. I asked him what he thought of the wealthy Sheiks (pronounced Shakes) who hired him for business. His response was that he stays far away from them. Puzzled, I asked why? He said many of them are homosexual. Shocked and surprised, I asked, "What about the married ones?” He responded, "they are the worst ones!!!" Only a corrupt religious clergy could cultivate something in their madrasahs so unnatural.
I was recommended to preach at a Methodist Church in a small Midwest USA farm town. A friend of mine was an elder in the church. I felt inspired to preach on Jesus’ words in Luke 17:28 about the last days before His return being like the days of Lot in Sodom and Gomorrah. After the message, the church worship leader came up to me irate and screaming with her wife claiming I was wrong! An angel had come to her at night and told her that her lifestyle was good and righteous! You can’t make this stuff up!? I acknowledged that an Angel probably did come to her, but it was not an Angel of God. I believe this is a demonic last days delusion. The Bible is clear about Sodomy. Only with a corrupt religious establishment could allow something some unnatural thrive.
Isaiah 3:9 "...and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves."
The Biblical precedent is the days of King Josiah, immediately before the destruction of Judah (and the remnant of Israel) by the Babylonians. The King had to rid the Holy Temple of Sodomites (2 Kings 23:7). The prophet Zephaniah, speaking during the time of Josiah, lamented that the religious establishment was to blame…
Zephaniah 3:4 Her prophets are light and treacherous persons: her priests have polluted the sanctuary, they have done violence to the law.
The prophet Jeremiah, Zephaniah’s contemporary, also places the blame squarely on Liberal religious leaders…
Jeremiah 23:10 For the land is full of adulterers; [...] 11 For both prophet and priest are profane; yea, in my house have I found their wickedness, saith the LORD. 12 Wherefore their way shall be unto them as slippery ways in the darkness: they shall be driven on, and fall therein: for I will bring evil upon them..."
As others have said, I believe this is part of the last days religious delusion that is coming upon the world (2 Thessalonians 2:11-12). To be continued…

You are right. My Baptists are caving in while the Pope is telling his people that the Muslims are to be cooperated with while homosexuals have a place with God. All wrong and not even the Pope overthrows the word of God as previously posted here.
