That was a given.

That’s unfortunate. The Inklings circle of friendship is something Post-WWI that heavily influenced him. That was a very interesting chapter in his life.

I suppose it omits that he had a Catholic Priest as a guardian for a significant portion of his childhood.

A priest, by the way, well-known to Cardinal Newman, from whom I am proud to take my tagline.

The title should read “Catholic Faith”.

That’s too bad.

Was hoping this would be a movie worth going to.

Sounds like they “Petered Jacksoned” this movie.

By this I mean they gutted ‘The Hobbit” of original content and substituted PC and theme park crap to make three movies.
There was enough to make really great two movies if PJ just did what he did for the Ring trilogy.
But they screwed around with it and made a hot mess of it.

Won’t see this movie, either.

Not surprised. Hollywood hates Christians.

Typical Hollywood tripe. No guts no glory. Tolkein and Lewis were Christian brothers who worked tirelessly for the advancement of the Christian faith. The Ring trilogy is a masterpiece of Christian literature. The utter stupidity of this move makes it of no more value than a cheap confection.

You simply cannot understand Tolkien without understanding his Christian faith.

What a shame. Sounds like Disney ruined the story.

Tolkien led a fascinating life. He was a great mind.

I wont be seeing the film.....two years ago when the film A wrinkle in time came out Disney removed all reference to Christianity and Christian philosophy. at this point I decided when ever a movie producer does that to books inspired by Christianity I would just not view there creation. I think Disney will find that lots of Christians will not see this film.

If it doesn’t include the Inklings it is worthless.

It’s really a Fox Searchlight production rather than Disney.

So discouraged by you clowns that refuse to acknowledge Disney’s corrupt nature.

Next time you bemoan the MSM, at least make reference to the parents corps driving the agenda: Comcast, Disney, and now ATT.

No CS Lewis? Too bad. Always wanted to know more about the relationship between two of my favorite authors and the role Tolkein played in Lewis’s conversion. This movie doesnt seem worth seeing now.

You can not appreciate his works without the significance of Christianity in his life
