SC megachurch pastor admits ‘emotional affair’ — but says he did not cheat on his wife
The State ^ | 3/11/2019 | Noah Feit

The South Carolina megachurch pastor who drew criticism when he bought his wife a $200,000 Lamborghini as an anniversary present last December, denied cheating on her in a national television appearance.

Seated next to his wife, Aventer, John Gray answered a question from one of the hosts of “The Real” about having an affair.

“The answer is no. I didn’t,” video posted on YouTube shows Gray saying on the talk show that aired Monday. He also denied fathering a child as a result of an affair, saying “There’s no baby, none of that.”

Gray, whose Relentless Church is based out of Greenville, has said in the past that he failed his wife before giving her the expensive car, The State reported. On “The Real,” Gray reiterated that the couple had been “in a very difficult place in our marriage.”

A $200,000 Lamborghini? My grandfather once told me not to trust any preacher who owns more than one suit. This article is more evidence that grandfather was right.

Gray reiterated that the couple had been “in a very difficult place in our marriage.”

Well, a Lambourghini will certainly get you to that destination faster.

I have no problem with pastors doing well, but some of this stuff is just down right obscene.

The institutional commercial “church” is a complete fraud. These are false idols and these men are false idols like priest who are homosexuals ( an abomination to God) who have prayed on 10s of thousands of male children. It is all a scheme to get your money. God doesn’t need your money. He owns everything. It is just a big Con.

Some have their rewards in heaven, some on earth. Where your treasure is that is where your heart will be.

Remember Jim and Tammy fay? I was not a follower but toward the end of their run I saw a few seconds of a talk show by them and he was wearing this quite unique chocolate brown suit with very over-sized white buttons.

I thought, that’s not just dressing nice for TV. It’s crossed a line.

It ensured I never followed him.

I went to their website and am not really sure that they are even a church. I had to burrow down a bit to even find a mentionof God.

Here is the good pastor:

John is quick to acknowledge that although he is grateful
for the places God has taken him and the ministries that have opened
their doors to him, nothing compares to the joy of his life,
his wife Aventer, their son John W. Gray IV, and their daughter,
Theory Aspyn-Sky Gray.

They had a bizarre appeal to some people.
A good man I worked with left his job in Ohio and moved to their complex in SC. It was kind of like Jim Jones cult.

According to one source 62% of churches have a full time pastor. The majority of the rest of pastors are bi-vocational, meaning they have a day job. Most churches have less than 300 members.

This clown, and clowns like him give Christianity a bad name.

Baptist minister draws a circle on the floor and throws all the offering money into the air...
“All that lands outside the circle belongs to the LOord!” he proclaimed...

The Methodist minister also draws a circle and tosses his offering into the air...”All that lands inside the circle belongs to the Lord!” he professes...

Pastor John Gray doesn’t bother with the circle...He tosses the offering money into the air...”Al the Lord catches, he can keep!” he shouts...

Being smart with your money can get you a Cadillac or maybe even a Tesla..

NOT a Lamborghini. That’s someone who considers hisself a rock star.

I have sat on pastor pay committees.

Generally speaking we tried to pay the pastor something that looks like the average salary of the congregation. That seems fair.

WTF? What an idiot. Evil people like this guy do more damage to the Christian faith than all of the atheists, devil worshipers, .... combined.

Too bad Christians don’t realize this.

Give this poor guy some credit! He thought he could get himself off the hook with a cheap used $200,000 Lambourghini. Smart! And they are still together. That is being a good steward with the money he got from his flock. He bought one that had already depreciated.

The least expensive new Lambourghini coupe costs $417,650 before taxes and license; a new convertible Lambourghini starts at $460,247. But you drive a new one off the lot and the value goes down by 20% immediately.

Personally, I would rather have the shaggin waggin because I think it could take a speed bump better.
