“...host Stephen Colbert also a fellow believer”
Yeah, right.
First church of what’s happenin’ now. Notice how he kinda danced around the whole LGBTQWERTYAEIOU thing?

“Everyone is entitled to love who they want without judgment of their fellow man.”
Isn’t that condoning homosexual practices? That’s the phrase that’s usually used.
Perhaps. To be fair, he didnt say everyone was free from Gods judgment.
It sounded like a little pandering to me.
I don’t know what’s wrong with the old “hate the sin, love the sinner.”
My thoughts exactly. Unless little Stevie Coal-bert is still playing a part, his demeanor on his show and elsewhere is basically the antithesis of what Chris Pratt posted.
It takes an awful lot to be snarkier than Bill Maher, but I think Stevie is getting close.
To the queers, love only means one thing, sex. Nothing else. Just sex, sex, sex. All the time, anywhere, any place with anyone.
Hedonism is their God.
Love and sex are two different things. They can be complimentary, or contradicting. But they’re not the same.
The Rev Richard Coles (Church of England) has been in a celibate relationship with a man for quite some time. Coles is a musician who played with the band The Communards, a very gay disco band from the 1980s.
One may scoff at it and declare (based on no evidence) that the relationship is not celibate -- but what if it is? Is it inconceivable that a man might be in a loving relationship and still be celibate? And if this were the case, in what way would it violate the teachings of Christ?
The homosexual practices are sinful. A celibate relationship? I don't see the sin.
In todays world, Id settle for simply, ACKNOWLEDGE the sin, love the sinner. That would be an improvement.
I see no sin in a celibate relationship. I still say, however, that if a man is romantically attracted to another man, or woman to woman, that somewhere, something has gone wrong.
Do you expect him to come out and say he is against LGBTQ? Give the guy a break. He is in entertainment, not a political activist. Do you make these types of proclamations at your work?
I would agree that something has gone wrong.
But, alas, we all have a sinful nature. Something goes wrong for each of us to some degree. But I don’t want to skirt the main issue — I believe that homosexuality is a mental illness. It’s not normal. It’s not OK. The people should try to form more normal bonds of love, and if they cannot do that, they should at least refrain from sinful sexual practices.
What happened to the “higher standard” that goes beyond the laws of the Jews?
Focus on the Family has a wonderful outreach to homosexuals who would like some help. I admire them greatly for that, as they take a fair bit of heat.
Not sure what you mean.
so he basically says neither he or the church he attends really care about what Gods views are on the matter. sad
It wasn’t too long ago that the libs were telling us Christians, “Okay. We’ll require you to support gay stuff outside the church but we’ll allow you to keep your freedom of religion while you’re in church.”
Hate the sin and live the sinner.
