Why we shouldn't take our moral cues or understanding of Christianity from Gandhi.
Look up Ghandi and his fetish with bowel movements. You will be surprised.
If I remember correctly, his point was that most “Christians” aren’t Christian.
It’s an arguable point.
Sorry but I don't take my moral cues from old guys who sleep with little girls.
Just a quirk of mine.
So in a way I have something in common with Gandhi? Well, the issue (all you Gandhi admirers, and everyone else for that matter) is NOT what you do regarding Christians. The thing that you really need to consider is: What are you going to do about the Jesus Christ of the Bible. You will be judged by His Word.
I’m very familiar, unfortunately.
Ghandi was a homosexual, treated his wife like s*it and knew nothing about Christianity. His famous quote of “an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind” is quoted by the Left like a Hindu mantra, but it really refers to proportionality in punishment.
How many died on his peace march to tge north?
How peaceful are India and Pakistan since?
Referring to the hypocrisy, Ghandi said:
"I would have been a Christian were it not for Christians."
Ghandi has a lot in common with one called “Satan”...which means “accuser of the brethren.”
As my old pastor used to say...if you find the perfect church Mr. Ghandi, don’t join it because then it won’t be perfect anymore. (Mr Ghandi added) Fool and your fake religion.
My church is selective on which Christians we accept. Only sinners are allowed. Good people are not.
“The worst thing about Christians is that they are so judgmental”.
Everyone misses the irony in this statement
There is God, and how he reveals Himself to me.
There is religion and that is how God revealed Himself to others. And I can learn from that but must be discerning.
There is the church which brings together a community of flawed people who despite their best intentions, seem to go astray. Mostly by focusing on the things of man not of God.
Ghandi was trying to start from the bottom, not from the top.
I'm not familiar with much of what he said, but I think he, unfortunately, has a point.
Sadly, even in churches there are many who call themselves Christian who don't live anywhere near a Christlike life.
When Christians are the ones you don't want to hire, there's a problem. They should be the ones people are falling over themselves to hire. But they aren't.
Who in the hell cares what Ghandi Likes?
