People on Twitter are calling out President Donald Trump for failing to recite the Apostles Creed at the funeral for former President George H. W. Bush on Wednesday.
Footage from the event shows much of the church, including the former presidents seated with Trump, standing to recite the profession of faith.

The “Apostles Creed” was never spoken by any apostle.
It is a collection of non-scriptural declarations that the lost use in place of “Halelu Yah.”
Maybe Trump never memorized it. Anyways who cares?
“Shouldnt that make President Trump a Progressive elitist just like them?”
If he did say it, they would have complained that he was promoting religion!
These people NEVER flipping shut the hell up!
The huff post obviously doesn’t care one twit about the Apostles’ Creed or any other Christian thing. They would just as soon have Trump exiled to Mars.
So it’s just another excuse to bash Trump.
They are nothing but filthy hypocrites.
Honestly, who cares? He’s not a religious man.
“Ive been to Catholic funerals and Episcopals in my ignorant opinion seem to be very similar.”
There was an old joke that Episcopalians are Catholics who sing.
Seriously, if you’re a Catholic who misses the pre-vatican 2 mass, take in an Episcopal mass. It’s actually comforting. And if you’re a Catholic that got in trouble with the Church over divorce and remarriage, the Episcopalians won’t hold that against you and tell you that your not welcome.
As grave and dire as this refusal to recite the creed at a ceremony for the great all-father BUSH is, Trump’s preference for eating $50 steaks well done with ketchup is still his most grievous crime.
Freegards
Was it printed out? Many Protestant churches say this creed.
Perhaps Trump hasn’t memorized it.
I am not distraught.
Yep
The Apostles’ Creed is a Western creed—Roman Catholic and Protestant.
The Orthodox Church uses only the Nicene Creed-not the Apostles’ Creed. So we don’t recite the Apostles’ Creed either!!!!
Some old conservative Lutherans changed the “One Holy catholic Church” to “Christian Church”. But I don’t know if any still do.
George HW Bush’s parish in Texas is an anomaly—a conservative evangelical parish that remains in the wacko ultra-liberal Episcopal “Church”. And the National Cathedral totally goes along with the EC’s apostasies! But I don’t know if that has anything to do with President Trump’s behavior in that service yesterday. Probably not.
.
There is no “Church” declared in any part of the scriptures.
Yeshua appointed his apostles to his ancient Kehillah, his eternal “remnant.”
A completely mystic body, having no Earthly property and no Earthly head.
.
Really bizarre that Melania, a Catholic, didnt. Looks to me like an act of defiance, like taking a knee. I cant understand it.
Ill silently say the Apostles Creed at your funeral and pray for your soul. You can thank me in advance.
Yes to all who answered about the Apostle’s Creed-an important, and sacred, Christian Statement of Faith-with an obvious small letter “C” meaning universal, rather than Roman Catholic.
I was particularly upset to see that our President and First Lady didn’t participate in the recitation. I knew that it was yet another lightning rod for the media to hit. He can’t help being attacked-as we witness daily-but a profession of faith would have been such an easy way to dissuade this one ..it was disappointing to watch for more than one reason.

Every ‘creed’ not recorded in scripture is a bond to Satan.
(there are no creeds in scripture)
Catholic, in the Creed, means Universal
.
The Holy Spirit will paralise your errant tongue!
If you ever say what you believe, and do any kind of summary of Scripture that isn’t literal Scripture, you’ve said a creed. Creed = credo = I believe.
Oh, by the way, the three main creeds are completely derived from Scripture.
Or are you the font and source of all doctrine without any reference or connection to the Christian church on earth as it has existed since the beginning.
Not going to argue with you Mr. Heretic.
Have a nice day.
A great many do not recite it and NONE speak to the Catholic church when they do speak the Creed.
The Creed is not Biblical, anyway.

>> I was particularly encouraged and blessed to see that our President and First Lady didnt participate in that satanic recitation. <<
