Will there be Male and Female in Heaven?
Christian Apologetics ^ | 3/4/15 | Matt Slick

Posted on 10/25/2018 9:45:33 AM PDT by CondoleezzaProtege

It was Jesus who appeared to Thomas. Jesus is a man, and Thomas recognized him. Therefore Jesus retained his gender after his resurrection. Furthermore, Jesus retained his crucifixion wounds further demonstrating he retained his physical characteristics.

So, we conclude that we will retain our gender when we are resurrected in our new glorified bodies and go to heaven. But, as I said at the beginning of this article, we will not be married nor will he have any need of procreation.

But, some might ask how this is possible since the Bible says...

"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus," (Galatians 3:28).

This verse is not saying there will not be male and female genders in heaven. It is saying that "in Christ" there is neither male nor female. "In Christ" designates representation and salvation. Gal. 3:28 is saying that when it comes to salvation, gender does not matter...

There must be dogs, cats and birds.

Yep, we need dogs, and of course we need cats for dog food.

Off on a tangent here; the description of Jesus resurrected with his crucifixion wounds has always puzzled me. Although I cannot find a Biblical passage to verify this, I would think that our bodies, being raised incorruptible, would be perfected. If Jesus could make the blind to see, and the lame to walk on earth, can He not restore eyes and limbs in Heaven? Somebody help me with this, please.

Don’t you remember the song “In heaven, there is no beer. That’s why we drink it here”?
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
And when I’m gone from here, all my friends will be drinking all my beer...

I’ve always believed that in heaven we are all children. As a child, everything that we learned had the potential to be not just new but wondrous. Imagine spending eternity with that feeling. I have absolutely no scripture to back that up.

Most of us will have a heaven with male and female.

Deserving feminists will be put in a section of heaven with no males and told that what they see is the entire heaven - no males anywhere. Any other eternity would be hell to them.

“Will there be Male and Female in Heaven?”

Yes...if they are conservative republicans.

OK. This may be the first time I’ve seen a FReeper provide a link to support their point yet the link makes exactly the opposite point. :-)

Angels have bodies just like ours

Well actually, the text is quite clear that angels are spirit beings and as such DO NOT have bodies like ours.

Luke 24:39
"See My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself; touch Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have."

“...There is neither Jew nor Greek, ...”

Does this mean we can’t borrow money or get a decent gyro?

Hi. While I believe the Crucifixion will be glorified in Christ always (picture rays of light piercing through the holes of his wounds) — as it concerns us, all our physical diseases/ailments/disabilities will be removed. We will be in glorified, perfect bodies...

Well, I don’t know about the first part, so I will offer no opinion. As to your second statement, I agree; I’m just looking for a direct, as opposed to indirect, Biblical statement to that effect.

In the beatitudes, Jesus says, "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God." That would require healing the blind.

Will there be different races in heaven?

How important is the answer to that question?

Probably, there will be wine. Luke 22:17-18 And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He said, "Take this and share it among yourselves; for I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine from now on until the kingdom of God comes.

John 19:29-30 Now there was a vessel set there full of vinegar. And they, putting a sponge full of vinegar and hyssop, put it to his mouth.

Jesus therefore, when he had taken the vinegar, said: It is consummated. And bowing his head, he gave up the ghost.

The Kingdom came when Christ Died.
