In these times, Pope Francis said, it seems like the devil, "the great accuser, has been let loose and he's got it in for the bishops. True, there are, we are all sinners, we bishops."
The great accuser "seeks to reveal sins, which people can see, in order to scandalize the people" of God, he said in his homily during morning Mass at Domus Sanctae Marthae.

No. Satan controls certain people. Not the Church.
At this point that is a distinction without any difference whatsoever.

Church Lady response.
In these times, it seems like the Great Accuser has been unchained and is attacking bishops. True, we are all sinners, we bishops. He tries to uncover the sins, so they are visible in order to scandalize the people.
Let us take a look at his accusation that He tries to uncover the sins, so they are visible in order to scandalize the people.
From Father Hardon's Modern Catholic Dictionary:
SCANDAL. Any action or its omission, not necessarily sinful in itself, that is likely to induce another to do something morally wrong. Direct scandal, also called diabolical, has the deliberate intention to induce another to sin. In indirect scandal a person does something that he or she foresees will at least likely lead another to commit sin, but this is rather tolerated than positively desired. (Etym. Latin scandalum, stumbling block.)
Then let us examine the Catechism of the Catholic Church:
Respect for the souls of others: scandal
2284 Scandal is an attitude or behavior which leads another to do evil. the person who gives scandal becomes his neighbor's tempter. He damages virtue and integrity; he may even draw his brother into spiritual death. Scandal is a grave offense if by deed or omission another is deliberately led into a grave offense.
2285 Scandal takes on a particular gravity by reason of the authority of those who cause it or the weakness of those who are scandalized. It prompted our Lord to utter this curse: "Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened round his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea."85 Scandal is grave when given by those who by nature or office are obliged to teach and educate others. Jesus reproaches the scribes and Pharisees on this account: he likens them to wolves in sheep's clothing.86
2286 Scandal can be provoked by laws or institutions, by fashion or opinion.
Therefore, they are guilty of scandal who establish laws or social structures leading to the decline of morals and the corruption of religious practice, or to "social conditions that, intentionally or not, make Christian conduct and obedience to the Commandments difficult and practically impossible."87 This is also true of business leaders who make rules encouraging fraud, teachers who provoke their children to anger,88 or manipulators of public opinion who turn it away from moral values.
2287 Anyone who uses the power at his disposal in such a way that it leads others to do wrong becomes guilty of scandal and responsible for the evil that he has directly or indirectly encouraged. "Temptations to sin are sure to come; but woe to him by whom they come!"89
Finally, let us look at the Code of Canon Law:
Can. 277 §1. Clerics are obliged to observe perfect and perpetual continence for the sake of the kingdom of heaven and therefore are bound to celibacy which is a special gift of God by which sacred ministers can adhere more easily to Christ with an undivided heart and are able to dedicate themselves more freely to the service of God and humanity.
§2. Clerics are to behave with due prudence towards persons whose company can endanger their obligation to observe continence or give rise to scandal among the faithful.
I wanted to give the above as a little background to establish what "scandalize" actually means.
My response is that it is patently obvious that bringing these behaviors into the public is not what is scandalizing the people. The behaviors themselves have scandalized us. The cover-up scandalizes us. Many of us have known about this in the past (I, an ordinary layman, have heard the stories about McCarrick ever since he was Archbishop as an example).
Attacking the person who exposes this filth is EXACTLY the wrong thing to do. Making theologically unsound statements in order to attack the messenger is EXACTLY the wrong thing to do. Getting to the bottom of this...exposing the wrongdoers and getting rid of them...those are the right things to do. But it's obvious that this is not what is going to happen.
Thus:
And the pasch of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. And he found in the temple them that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting. And when he had made, as it were, a scourge of little cords, he drove them all out of the temple, the sheep also and the oxen, and the money of the changers he poured out, and the tables he overthrew. And to them that sold doves he said: Take these things hence, and make not the house of my Father a house of traffic. And his disciples remembered, that it was written: The zeal of thy house hath eaten me up. The Jews, therefore, answered, and said to him: What sign dost thou shew unto us, seeing thou dost these things? Jesus answered, and said to them: Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. [Jn 2:13-19]
Let the tables be knocked over.
Even when the Hebrew people in the Wilderness were at their worst, Moses upbraided them but did not leave them.
Even when Israel and Judah were "fornicating under every green tree," sinful enough to make themselves fodder for pagan invaders, the Prophets said "You will be knocked flat to the ground" but never said "I'm outta here."
Christ said He would never abandon us or leave us orphans, but would stay with us "until the end of the age." If you leave, it's like saying "I don't believe that."
We're in the beginning -- not the middle or the end --- of a period of hard suffering and purification. Christ will not give us a way to evade it: He will give us a way to go through it through Him, with Him, and in Him.
"The extreme greatness of Christianity lies in the fact that it does not seek a supernatural remedy for suffering but a supernatural use for it." - Simone Weil
`
Well, it's not as if they didn't give him plenty of ammunition!
Indeed all those that have left must now return, If the church can see by the masses what they have done then perhaps we can rebuild it?
God doesn’t ever want to know that they have defiled His image by breaking the Commandments by deceit, homosexuality and rape of His children. But God knows and the only peter they will ever ain’t a saint.
Francis, then went on in his homily to remind them they chosen by Jesus and basically He gott their backs.
Thanks much though, for I liked the lesson.
God doesn’t ever want to know that they have defiled His image by breaking the Commandments by deceit, homosexuality and rape of His children. But God knows and the only peter they will ever get ain’t a saint.
You cab leave the Roman sect and still be part of the Church. More fully a part as you are no longer supporting the organized crime racket and sex ring the Vatican has become
That is certainly not true.
Here's how Scripture speaks of the Church. It is obviously not a Satan-controlled entity.
We're nowhere told to leave the Church. We're everywhere told to build it up. We're even told Christ loves this Bride of His, this Church.
And we're told He will feed, care for, and purify her, which logically entails that she will need to be purified.
Ephesians 5:29
No one hates his own body, but feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church.
There is nothing in the world that would make me want to break communion with all the other faithful members of this Church:
... with Peter and Paul, with Monica and Augustine, Athanasius-contra-Mundum, Julian of Norwich, Catherine of Siena, the 40 English martyrs, especially Thomas More, Edmund Campion and Margaret Clitherow, Charles de Foucauld, my dear Dorothy Day and my dear Elizabeth Anscombe, Mother Teresa of Calcutta ---
thousands and thousand were faithful to the Church under MUCH harder conditions, and I should abandon my post just at the very moment when the wolves have got inside the sheepfold and are attacking the flock?
Jesus says those that leave and let the sheep be scattered are hirelings, not true shepherds.
Leave? Now? Really? We have not yet resisted unto the shedding of our blood.
Leave? No. Christ said He would not leave the Church.
He loves the Church. He will rescue the Church. He always has. When He is rushing towards us, should I rush away?
Jesus said, "Let the little children come unto me."
Francis says, ...well, you can figure it out.
Don't drop the Soap
In front of the Pope!

You mean like, he's already bent over?
Heh hee ha ha ho heh ha HA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA *gasp* *snort* *chuckle*.
On the other hand,
Thank you for your answers.
Thank you for your answers.
I guess the church’s belief that clergy should be celibate wasn’t the best decision.
Chaste celibacy is not an unusual or impossible thing. Not at all. It is in one sense universal: required of everybody, until they are married! And just think. Most people don't marry until they're in their 20's, some in their 30's or 40's or even older.
For all Christian men and women--- if they are not married --- chaste celibacy is their only honorable way of life.
