"“No. Satan controls certain people. Not the Church.”--
At this point that is a distinction without any difference whatsoever.

That is certainly not true.

Here's how Scripture speaks of the Church. It is obviously not a Satan-controlled entity.

• "Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood." - Acts 20:28

• "The Church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth." - 1 Timothy 3:15

• "If they [disputants] refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector." Matthew 18:17

• "Everything must be done so that the church may be built up." - 1 Corinthians 14:12

We're nowhere told to leave the Church. We're everywhere told to build it up. We're even told Christ loves this Bride of His, this Church.

And we're told He will feed, care for, and purify her, which logically entails that she will need to be purified.

Ephesians 5:29
No one hates his own body, but feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church.
