Editor's Note: In a January 5 address to Italian primary-school teachers, Pope Francis called for an educational alliance between the school and the family, and encouraged education in ecological awareness. The Pontiff also said: Christian teachers, whether they work in Catholic schools or in state schools, are called to stimulate in the pupils the openness to the other as a face, as a person, as a brother and sister to know and respect, with his or her history, merits and defects, riches and limits.

(Benedict McCain is the worst traitor ever to wear the uniform of the US military.)
The third aspect that I want to underline is ecological education (see Encyclical Laudato si, 209-215). Naturally it is not just a matter of providing some notions, which must however be taught. It is about educating to a lifestyle based on an attitude of care for our common home, which is creation. A lifestyle that is not schizophrenic, that for instance takes care of animals in extinction but ignores the problems of the elderly; or that defends the Amazon forest but neglects workers rights to a just wage, and so on. This is schizophrenia. The ecology in which we must educate has to be holistic. And above all, education must aim at a sense of responsibility: not to transmit slogans that others should implement, but to inspire the pleasure of experiencing an ecological ethic, starting from choices and gestures in daily life.

Sure he believes in God.
Bishop Jorge sees him every day in his mirror.

I’m not sure he isn’t a plain old communist pushing liberation theology as a colorful carrot stick to hell.
What does he think is going to happen when he’s gone? No one faithful is buying him, or what he tries to sell. He is toast already, but does not have a clue.

This Pope is anything but the VICAR OF CHRIST and why does he believe that he can order PUBLIC SCHOOL teachers what to do? I doubt that he can even order parochial teachers what to teach.
The day when Popes could excommunicate heads of state, leaders, and such, if they went against him, are long gone; thank GOD! And so, this anti-Christian Pope, is pissing in the wind and looking more and more idiotic, every day.

The cardinals who voted for this Marxist clown need to be excommunicated. I’m tired of this insanity. Calling this man a spiritual leader abuses the term. Hell, calling him a Christian abuses the term.

Catholics, seriously....stop giving to the church until this charlatan is outta there That also goes for other denominations who have charlatans, false preachers, and false doctrine leading their flocks astray. Look what happened to them in the Book of Ezekiel. God zapped them.

A lot of Catholic Millennials, that I know, are leaving the church ( not stopping being Catholics, just noty going to church ), because of this Pope.

I seriously wish someone would tell him to stfu

Just as I've never thought Obama believes in God, I do not think Pope Francis believes in God. Both hold positions that make it necessary to pretend they do, but they do not.

LOL! You will get no argument on this thread, my friend.
In any other era of the Church, Jorge would have been defrocked, banished as a schismatic, and Vatican II would have never happened. The result of both errors gave way to the whole sale vandalization of the Catholic faith, by strangers inside and outside of the Church, who did then and do now give license to all of it.
Tragic.
