The abusive deconstruction of the Mass began in the late 1960s, introducing liturgical dancers and girl altar-boys to the Catholic Church. Organizations like Call to Action, FutureChurch, Pax Christi, and a host of others have done their utmost to tear down the Traditions of the Church, replacing them with neo-pagan practices. Now, an organization operating under the name Association of U.S. Catholic Priests (AUSCP) is actively working to complete the paganization of the Catholic Church by establishing Catholic parishes run by ordained deaconesses.
Recent articles by the National Catholic Reporter (NCR) and ChurchMilitant.com caused us to take notice of the AUSCP. After performing a quick review of a broad spectrum of reporting (both friendly and hostile) on the AUSCP, we commissioned an Organization Profile and related research on the organization itself and its activities. Over the next several weeks, we will be reporting on various aspects of the findings in the commissioned report, but for this first article, we will focus primarily on the AUSCPs blueprint for creating Catholic parishes run by deaconesses.
In an August 2016 press release, the AUSCP published a statement signed by its leadership team which claims that ordaining woman permanent deacons will enhance pastoral ministry to Gods people. This position by the AUSCP is not a new one, however, as the press release points out:
In its national assembly held in Seattle, WA, in June of 2013, the Association of United States Catholic Priests (AUSCP) passed a resolution to promote the ongoing discussion of the ordination of women as permanent deacons in our Catholic Church.
The resolution mentioned in the press release did more than simply promote ongoing discussion on the ordination of women as deacons, however. Taking matters a step further, the resolution specifically called for the ordination of women.....

We liberal catholics will shove female priests down your throats one way or another...You will submit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lady preachers have taken over mainline churches. I've seen them in Methodist, Episcopal, and Presbyterian churches.
Baptist preachers are almost universally still male — thank God. Even nondenominational chruches will often have a lady preacher.
Well fed we must now carry the Cross.
I don't much care what the Association of United States Catholic Priests thinks, plans or says.
What is the official position of the Roman Catholic Church?
Does each world country have the option to choose what version of Catholicism is practiced or taught?
I don't remember getting a memo.
I know a woman who used to be a Methodist minister. She and her husband converted to Catholicism and now she works as a pastoral assistant.
I don't think so.
That’s a sad record compared to Christ who had only men as apostles.
“What is the official position of the Roman Catholic Church?”
I guess if you asked antipope Frankie, none of us would like the answer.
That's the wrong question....should be asking what is the Biblical position on women as deacons.
Answer is: men only.
can you site me a bibilcal reference that deacons must be men or priests for that matter?
The precedent set by the OT and Jesus in the NT. God made us male and female. We are different. Live with it.
1It is a trustworthy statement: if any man aspires to the office of overseer, it is a fine work he desires to do. 2An overseer, then, must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, prudent, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, 3not addicted to wine or pugnacious, but gentle, peaceable, free from the love of money. 4He must be one who manages his own household well, keeping his children under control with all dignity 5(but if a man does not know how to manage his own household, how will he take care of the church of God?), 6and not a new convert, so that he will not become conceited and fall into the condemnation incurred by the devil. 7And he must have a good reputation with those outside the church, so that he will not fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
8Deacons likewise must be men of dignity, not double-tongued, or addicted to much wine or fond of sordid gain, 9but holding to the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience. 10These men must also first be tested; then let them serve as deacons if they are beyond reproach. 11Women must likewise be dignified, not malicious gossips, but temperate, faithful in all things. 12Deacons must be husbands of only one wife, and good managers of their children and their own households. 13For those who have served well as deacons obtain for themselves a high standing and great confidence in the faith that is in Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 3:1-13 NASB
so if an overseer is a priest he must have 1 wife. Same for deacon. I don’t believe these concepts apply to catholic priests, it is clear the church believes priests are not overseers because they cannot marry. The problem is that woman are more than qualified to preach and administer sacraments. if the church can change qualifications from the bible as you cite it, they can have female priests and deacons.
You are in for a big disappointment. Stick around another 50 or 100 years. Priests will marry and women will be priests. The catholic church is not bound by the old testament. I am not male and female. I am male. Jesus did not have japanese priests and I can list a hundred other characteristics the group he chose did not have. . The omission of women in the original group is as much cultural of that age than a teaching of God. And for centuries the church as kept women out of a small portion of clerical life.
Full disclosure...I am not Roman Catholic.
Roman Catholicism has a different understanding of the role of the priest than what is revealed in the New Testament.
Can women capable of learning and completing seminary? Yes. But that isn't the issue.
The issue is does Scripture allow them to serve in the leadership positions of the church. The text is clear they are not.
The text is also clear on the points I mentioned which the church clearly does not follow. I am addressing the practice of male only priests and all the problems that has caused.
I don't find any Scriptural prohibition on a man marrying and being able to serve God at the same time.
eg Lusting....yet so many Christian men have made a billion dollar industry out of porn....
I think women as deacons should be the least of our worries...
So let me understand you. Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial of one Being with the Father, was bound by cultural prejudices and succumbed to misogyny and bigotry. He, presumedly, did this because if he had chosen men to be apostles he would have been rejected by the Jews, been arrested, led outside of the city, and would have been crucified. Then his followers would have also been rejected by both the Jews and the Romans, and would have suffered 300 years of persecution. Wait, all of that actually happened.
It really makes me laugh when some people would have us believe that they are more just in regard to the treatment of women than Jesus Christ himself. If Jesus, who I remind you is God, had wanted women to be priests then he would have chosen women to be among his apostles.
