Astrology. Tarot cards. Mediums. Auras. Palm reading. Seances. Witchcraft. Crystal power.

Good grief. It's straight out of "Ghostbusters":

We are here:Francis A. Schaeffer has argued, “If there are no absolutes by which to judge society, then society is absolute.” Francis Schaeffer, How Shall We Then Live? (Old Tappan NJ: Fleming H Revell Company, 1976), p. 224.

You mean that chick I gave $50 to in order to read my cards was not a scientist? You mean she lied to me?

I guess that means I’m not going to be rich.

[Why millennials are ditching religion for witchcraft and astrology]

MILLENNIALS grew up on HARRY POTTER. The POTTER SERIES play practically nonstop on Freeform. They know every spell, but NOTHING about JESUS CHRIST, LORD and SAVIOR.

Sad thing many CHRISTIANS fell for Harry too.

People yearn for understanding of something bigger than the are. Modern mainstream christian denominations, many of them, have abandoned their prior moral certainty and absolute truths for a moral relativism driven by the current zeitgeist. This is wholly unsatisfactory to that drive for some universal divine truth. So many people are abandoning the traditional denominations and seeking something that doesn’t say “you tell us what the truth is and we’ll agree”.

its called magical thinking. there is a big problem with a lot of liberals where they don’t like reality so they believe in a mental construct of a reality they would like to be.

Humans are probably the only species that has the neurological capacity for mysticism. Those neurological circuits are critical for such thought processes as wonderment, reflection, search for meaning and without them much philosophical thought would never occur. This capacity for mysticism is expressed in many different ways. Religious belief and ritual has been until relatively recently the primary mystical expression for Western civilization. Recently pagan earth and celebrity worship complete with objects of veneration such as red carpets, annual feasts such as award ceremonies, anthropomorphic projections on animals, astrology, yoga, UFO fixations, ghosts, voodoo etc. has replaced traditional religion as the modalities in which mysticism is expressed in a neo pagan hedonistic culture.

Goes back farther. Remember the book SUN SIGNS, sold about 50 years ago? There were books on casting spells, every newspaper had a horoscope column. ROSMARY’S BABY and THE EXORCIST were the movies to watch.
Back in 1974, Jean Dixon, in STAR tabloid, predicted NIXON WILL NOT RESIGN! the very day he resigned.

Ten years later, when her horoscope column was to appear in our local newspaper stated she HAD predicted the resignation.
Everyone that I know who got involved with horoscopes did not end well.

This is an inevitable consequence of separating faith and reason ... or promoting religions like Islam that worship a god with a will but no intellect.

They are still “religions”. They are ditching Judeo-Christian teachings for paganism, Satanism, alien SF tales, Afro-SF, and more.

Astrology is for idiots.

For Astrology to work all the stars would have to be equidistance from the Earth and the constellations could never change. Neither of those things is true.

Witchcraft doesn’t care how immoral you are.
