The Quiet Islamic Conquest of Spain
The Gatestone Institute ^ | 9/30/17 | Giulio Meotti

* Evicted five centuries ago by crusading Christians, the Arabs are back in Spain, using their oil dollars to buy land that was seized from their ancestors by the sword". — James M. Markham, The New York Times, 1981.

* The Madrid daily ABC wrote that 800 mosques in Spain are out of control. The Spanish daily La Razon charged that Gulf donors, such as Qatar, were a source of Spain's Islamization. The Saudis also launched a new Spanish television channel, Córdoba TV, as did Iran.

* They dream of, and work to, regain the "lost Caliphate" of Spain. Some Islamists do it with bombs and car-ramming attacks. Others, more surreptitiously, do it with money and dawa, Islamic propaganda. The second way may be even more effective than the first.

The ceremony in 2003 was announced with bombastic headlines: "After a wait of more than 500 years, Spanish Muslims, have finally succeeded in building a mosque of their own in the shadow of the Alhambra, once the symbol of Islamic power in Europe". A troupe from al Jazeera was sent to follow the event: a muezzin climbed to the minaret of the Great Mosque of Granada to call the faithful to prayer for the first time in five centuries.

From Osama bin Laden to the self-proclaimed Caliph, Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi, all the leaders of the global jihad -- including the terror cell that killed 17 people in Barcelona -- have mentioned Spain among the lands to be conquered by Islam. There is, however, not only jihad. There is also "the quiet conquest", as it has been dubbed by the French magazine, Valeurs Actuelles. The quiet conquest is a sinuous attempt to re-Islamize Spain through cultural centers, mega-mosques, proselytizing, conversions and financial investments. This pacific attempt to elicit submission......

They dislike Torah Law.

No "they" don't! How can we "dislike" what Almighty God has established? Christians love the law but we also understand that the law cannot make anyone righteous enough to deserve Heaven.

But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing. (James 1:25)

I will not play this game. Torah forbids the creation of any new religion. I do not care what you do with that information.

Your homepage states you are a Noahide.

Do YOU accept the Torah Laws and why because they do not fit in with the 7 Laws of Noah as stated in Noahide belief?

You object to created new religions and yet I don’t recall seeing Noahides in either the OT or NT.

From where do your beliefs come?

The Torah includes 613 Jewish commandments and 7 Noahide commandments for non-Jews. We derive all of the 7 Commandments exegetically from Genesis 2:16. Genesis 2:16 is their source. The Oral Torah explains their details.

Well, that’s good. I certainly plan to have my eternal portion in the future world to come. 😀😆🇵🇭 The problem being, however, I am not even sure what the Noahide commandments are, but I am confident that I will be ok in the end. You know what though? I believe California is the most wondrous, fantastic, and the best place in the ENTIRE world, but I feel best among my evangelical friends in East Texas. 😀😆😄👍

Genesis 2:16-17
And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”.

Jesus must have been wrong: John 3:18

John 6:25-40

25 When they found him on the other side of the lake, they asked him, “Rabbi, when did you get here?”

26 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs I performed but because you ate the loaves and had your fill. 27 Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.”

28 Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”

29 Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”

30 So they asked him, “What sign then will you give that we may see it and believe you? What will you do? 31 Our ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written: ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’[c]

32 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”

34 “Sir,” they said, “always give us this bread.”

35 Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. 36 But as I told you, you have seen me and still you do not believe. 37 All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. 38 For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. 39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. 40 For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”

For the sheer beauty, the weather, and the modern living, there is no place on earth that is better than California. Other than that, too many liberals, too much taxation, long lines at DMV. I also prefer the south, becsuse of all the evangelicals. 😏😇

I will not play this game. Torah forbids the creation of any new religion. I do not care what you do with that information.

Who's playing games??? One place you state the Torah law must be followed and here you assert you don't follow the whole (600+) law of Moses but only the seven "Noahide" commandments. Which laws DO you follow?

The seven Noahide Commandments are:

    1. Do Not Worship a False Deity
Genesis 2:16 states: “And L-rd G-d commanded to the man, saying…” This Divine command to Adam implies that only the One True G-d, the Creator of the spiritual and physical realms, should be obeyed and honored as the Deity, and the greatest honor is to serve and worship Him. Thus, one should serve and worship only the One True G-d, and not any idol. [1]

    2. Do Not Commit Blasphemy
Leviticus 24:10-17 relates the incident of a Jew who violated the injunction of Exodus 22:27 and blasphemed in anger. Moreover, it states in Leviticus 24:15, “ish ish” (any man) who curses his G-d shall bear his sin.” Why the double expression of “ish ish” (literally: “a man, a man”)? To include all mankind, Jews and Gentiles. This demonstrates that blasphemy thus is prohibited to Gentiles even as it is for Jews. [2]

    3. Do Not Commit Murder or Injury
The edict against murder, and the punishment for this transgression, is stated in Genesis 9:5-6: “…of man for his brother, I [G-d] will demand the soul of man. Whoever sheds the blood of man, among man, his blood shall be shed; for in the image of G-d He made man.”

    4. Do Not Have Forbidden Sexual Relations
Five of the six types of relations that are forbidden by G-d to Gentiles are covered in Genesis 2:24: “Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and cling to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” This verse explicitly forbids relations with one’s mother, with a woman who has ever been his father’s domestic partner or certified wife, with a woman who is currently a domestic partner or certified wife of another man, with another male, or with an animal. A Gentile is also forbidden to have relations with his maternal sister, which is learned from Gen. 20:13: “Moreover, she is indeed my sister, my father’s daughter, though not my mother’s daughter; and she became my wife.” (Note that Abraham said this to appease Abimelech. It was actually only figuratively true in his case, since Sarah was the daughter of Abraham’s brother. So they had the same paternal grandfather, who people often referred to as “father.”)

It also was universally accepted that father-daughter relations would be included, as evidenced by the disgrace of Lot after he had relations with his two daughters, following G-d’s destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah (Gen. 19:29-36, and Rashi’s explanation of Gen. 20:1). Relations of a female with a female are likewise an abomination to G-d which is included as one of the subjects of the verse Lev. 18:3, which speaks against the immoral practices of the ancient Egyptians and Canaanites, and which Lev.18:30 refers to as “abominable traditions.” About these, the Midrash (Sifra) specifies: “A man would marry a man, a woman would marry a woman, and a woman would be married to two men.”

    5. Do Not Commit Theft
The prohibition of theft is contained within the permission which G-d granted to Adam and Hava (Eve) in Genesis 2:16 to eat from the trees of the garden. This implies that if the permission had not been granted, they would have been forbidden to do so, because the property did not belong to them. This applied specifically to the fruit of the Tree of “Knowledge of Good and Evil” which was forbidden for them to take, under penalty of death (Genesis 2:17). This Noahide commandment was cited explicitly by Abraham in Genesis 21:25.

    6. Don’t Eat Meat that was Taken from a Live Animal
Adam and Hava (Eve) were not given permission to kill animals for food, and this remained in effect until after the Flood. G-d permitted the eating of meat for the first time to Noah and his family after they left the Ark, which is why G-d at that time added the seventh commandment, which prohibits the eating of meat that was severed from a living animal (even if it was stunned and insensitive). This commandment given to Noah is recorded in Genesis 9:4: “But meat, with its soul [which is in] its blood you shall not eat.”

    7. Establish Laws and Courts of Justice
G-d commanded Noah regarding the trial and punishment of a murderer, as it says in Genesis 9:6, “Whoever sheds the blood of man, among man, his blood shall be shed…” This refers to a Noahide commandment to judge and penalize a murderer. This is explained as follows by the Talmudic Sages: “Whoever sheds the blood of man” (referring to the murderer), “among man” (i.e., he is to be prosecuted in a court by a man who is qualified to testify as a witness), “his blood shall be shed” (if convicted, he is liable to capital punishment by the court). The Noahide Code specifies that Gentile societies are obligated to abide by justice through establishing a system of righteous courts of law.

    Footnotes:
[1] The Oral Torah (Tractate Sanhedrin, ch. 7) explains how all of these 7 Noahide Commandments are encoded within the Hebrew text of the verse Genesis 2:16: “And L-rd G-d commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat.’ ” http://asknoah.org/7-commandments/locate-sources

I testify that I obey ALL these commandments as well as the Ten Commandments - though we have ALL broken a few in our lives and God forgives. I've already explained that Christianity is NOT a "new religion" but the culmination of the true faith in serving and worshipping the ONLY true God. It doesn't matter whether or not you believe me, what I care about is what God sees in my heart. Jesus IS the long-promised Messiah and it is only through receiving HIM as Savior and Redeemer that one can be declared righteous before God. Just as the blood of bulls and goats were offered as a covering for sins, Jesus' once-for-all sacrifice has done away with the need for further blood offerings. Obeying His commandments are a sign that we love Him and follow Him but they were never given as a way to make oneself deserving or meriting eternal life. That comes by the grace of God through faith and not our works.

You said you "disliked" Christians. Seeing as you will never meet every one, how is such prejudice and bigotry not a sin? You recently joined Free Republic - welcome. If you plan to continue commenting, you'll meet many other Christians. Perhaps you will learn a few things.

Gee whiz BB, someone said if we keep all these Noahide laws, we would get an eternal portion in the future world to come. I am having extreme amounts of difficulty, in keeping the 7 Noahide commandments, never mind the fact that I never heard about them till recently. So, I admit, I can’t keep them, and NOT ONE other person on earth can keep them either. Therefore, I am wondering how I, or anyone, can have an eternal portion in the future world to come, when not a single, solitary person on earth keeps them.
It seems to me, if one is bold enough to think they can have their portion, then I would venture to guess, they better NEVER make a single mistake, not ever. Do you know anyone like that? Ah yes, thanks be to God, There was ONE person who did. It was Jesus of Nazerath, and no, He did not start a new religion. He is the one I will trust, to give me my eternal portion in the future world to come. 👍🤗 My opinion is, anyone who thinks they can get their eternal portion in the future world to come, by keeping the Noahide commandments, is going to be up a creek at the moment of death, in deep kimchi, as they say. 😊🙃😆 😂🙀 One thing is certain, however, they can’t say they were not warned. If they end up with NO eternal portion in the future world to come, That’s on them. They can blame no one but themselves. 😀

Interesting list, especially number 2 that it based on Leviticus 24 which comes well after Noah, does it not?

How did that get sneaked into their list?
