N.B. Francis has also slammed the door on dialogue with the dubia cardinals. Both church-sanctioned adultery and challenges to the global warming hoax are off the the table with this "humble" pope.

He seems very “rigid” when it comes to marxist dogma.

He doesn’t have the authority to elevate “climate change” to the level of “magisterium” any more than he can do so with his preference of soccer team or his choice of spaghetti sauce.

Pope Francis is “pontificating” in science and policy areas in which he has no competence, while relativizing moral norms (like the Ten Commandments) which are as eternal and universal as the Law of Gravity.

Really, he should hush, like Zachariah who received the Gift of Silence when he hadn’t anything worthwhile to say.

If Francis turns out to be the False Prophet, then he gets thrown ALIVE into the Eternal Lake of Fire. That should be enough, don’t you think?

Does the pope still support burning at the stake for climate change heretics (deniers)?

He’s certainly destroying the credibility of the Church. My faith has been shaken by his buffoonery.

The laity has no political mechanism for deposing a Pope. In theory an apostate Pope could be removed by a large majority of Cardinals in solidarity. That, of course, is unlikely when many (if not most) Cardinals are just as heretical in their beliefs. These are trying times for the RCC. It seems that the “Gates of Hell” have indeed prevailed against much of this once glorious denomination. This current papal regime is similar to a crime racket in the sense that money is still expected to flow up while !@#$ flows down.

Never heard of this pope, or any of his predecessors, supporting such a thing.

Care to give us any example(s)? Or explain why you asked such an absurd question?

Popes must have supported it. Anabaptists to Jews, to heretics were burned at the state by Clergy like during the inquisition.

“must have”?

That’s not much proof.

Secondly, what did Anabaptists to Jews have to say about climate change?

????

So you think the pope didn’t know what the torturers were doing? The popes were the most powerful men in europe and had spy networks everywhere in a edition to the regular church communication network. So yes the “must have” known.

Furthermore, even with all the procedural precautions, there were Inquisitors who did not follow the laws of the Church and all too readily handed over a significant number of “heretics” to be burned alive. However, anti-Catholic pamphleteers and historians have grossly exaggerated the numbers, asserting that millions died at the stake. Though the actual numbers are far less (3000 – 5000), these fiery deaths were quite real and regrettable.

It is also true, sadly enough, that the Church, following the judicial customs of the day, allowed for torture as a part of the judicial procedure. The approval of torture went all the way to the top, as Pope Innocent IV’s bull Ad Exstirpanda (1252) attests. However, the use of torture during judicial inquiry was not, contrary to many detractors of the Church, the invention of the Inquisition.

I’m out
