Dead Cardinal Was Very Saddened By the Present State of the Church

A priest who visited Cardinal Carlo Caffarra recently said that Caffarra started crying in front of him because of the disastrous state of the Church, writes the Vaticanista Antonio Socci. Caffarra, a former archbishop of Bologna, Italy, and one of the four Dubia cardinals, died on September 6th.

The priest relates, that Caffarra "was very sorrowful, but he transmitted to me so much courage and love for the Church." Socci believes that Caffarra died from heartbreak.

Arkancide comes to the Vatican?

That's two out of the four Cardinals who signed the dubia sent to Pope Francis about his "Amoris Laetitia" document, who have died in just the last couple months.   That does sound really fishy, and if I were Cardinal Burke or Cardinal Walter Brandmüller, I would get a bodyguard or something, and take further precautions.   (Hard to believe!)

So sad for us but a crown for him.

Yes, indeed. This our goal also: to be in the grace of God.

No it doesn't. One was 79 and the other was 84. Brandmuller is 88.

"No it doesn't. One was 79 and the other was 84. Brandmuller is 88."

Well, you speak only for you, of course, and I'll speak for me.

You might not think that having two of the four cardinals who presented the dubia concerning his document "Amoris Laetitia" to Pope Francis (50% of them) die in the last two months does not sound fishy, but it certainly does sound fishy.

Here is a list of the current cardinals, and the ones with a pink background are too old (80 and up) to participate in a papal conclave.   Those old ones comprise a huge percentage of all living cardinals (roughly 46%) , and many of those ones are in their late 80's, or in their 90's (with one being 98), and all of them have health issues of one kind or another.   Only nine other cardinals have died this entire year (2017) all over the world so far, and, with all their health issues and infirmities, their average age when they died was over 85.

So, when you see half of the cardinals who expressed opposition to this Pope's written document die within two months of each other, that has to be eyed with suspicion.

I really don't care how you choose to view those two dubia deaths in two months, but I know they sound fishy, whether they are just coincidental or not.

Read your history. The Vatican and the Mafia go way back.

So, first you wag your finger with this:

Well, you speak only for you, of course, and I'll speak for me.

And then you proceed to say this:

So, when you see half of the cardinals who expressed opposition to this Pope's written document die within two months of each other, that has to be eyed with suspicion.

No, it doesn't *have* to be eyed with suspicion. The only thing that would make me question it would be if we find Burke dead at his relatively young age. Until then, these dead men were old. Their time was up.

Besides there was no need to murder them. Nothing will come of the "Dubia" anyway.

You really need to start following your own advice: don’t tell me what I should or shouldn’t think.

You will never speak for me, with all your peculiar and bizarre theories, and that is just a fact.

And what would those "peculiar and bizarre theories" be? Are we getting personal here? I have never interacted with you before.

Okay, I'll reword that, to say that all thinking and intelligent people should think that the sun does not rise in the west, and they should also view all deaths with suspicion, but especially if it involves 50% of a given group dying withing two months.

Rewording doesn't change the fact that YOU think I SHOULD think like you (despite the fact that these men died well beyond the worldwide average life expectancy and at or beyond the average life expectancy for men in their own countries)...

just after telling me that I shouldn't tell you what to think (despite the fact that I never told you how you should think...I merely expressed my view on this topic).

My issue isn't that you're telling me what to think. My issue is that your posts are hypocritical.

Do you erroneously think that only people who post to you, read your posts?

There are posters on FR who believe the end of the world (or at least the rapture), is going to happen in a couple weeks, on 9/23/17. Just because I don't agree with their strange speculations and theories, does not mean that I want to waste my own time responding to all of them.

How about answering the question? What are those peculiar and bizarre theories of mine (that you don’t respond to but still feel the need to attack me for at this time anyway)?

"My issue is that your posts are hypocritical."

Your posts have a lot more issues than that.   I'm done wasting my time here with you.   I have better things to do.   Have a great evening.

Of course you are. Perhaps the next time you wish to attack me for my so-called "peculiar and bizarre theories" you will actually put your money where your mouth is. Otherwise your accusations just come off as gratuitous and empty.
