Proverb A Day, Proverb 31 [Will You Speak Up For The Speechless?]
Bible NKJV ^ | 900 B.C. | Solomon

Planetary Genocide

A Christian's Worldview
Will You Speak Up For The Speechless?

Open your mouth for the speechless,
In the cause of all who are appointed to die.
Open your mouth, judge righteously,
And plead the cause of the poor and needy.

It is a scientific, biological, medical and spiritual truth that every abortion kills a living child. As rivers of innocent blood flow through our streets, I wonder how can it be.

No phantom right to privacy should prevail over the inalienable right to life. Pro-choice means only that the mother has a choice, not the father and not the grandparents, and, incredibly, not the child. Two people enter an abortion clinic, but only one comes out. One is forever dead, the other forever damaged.

We need to stop tolerating the intolerable and start defending the defenseless. How sad that the most dangerous place in America for a child is in her mother's womb.

If that child were born and then thrown in a dumpster, we would all be outraged. But if she is pre-born, go ahead and kill her. We should quit discriminating against our children based solely on the place of residence, their mother's womb.

Abortion remains the greatest social injustice of all time. Every day in America, more than 3,000 babies are denied justice and executed with no judge, no jury and no trial. Ending abortion is the civil rights movement of our generation.

In this country we have a history of defining out of existence people who are are in our way. First, it was the African American, because we desired his labor. Then it was the Native American, because we craved his land, Now, it is our children.

As fellow human beings, we need to promote a culture of life and be a voice for the voiceless and speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves. Abortion is the ultimate child abuse!

Proverb 31 (NKJV)

The Words of King Lemuel's Mother

01 The words of King Lemuel,
00 the utterance which his mother taught him:

02 What, my son?
00 And what, son of my womb?
00 And what, son of my vows?
03 Do not give your strength to women,
00 Nor your ways to that which destroys kings.

04 It is not for kings, O Lemuel,
00 It is not for kings to drink wine,
00 Nor for princes intoxicating drink;
05 Lest they drink and forget the law,
00 And pervert the justice of all the afflicted.
06 Give strong drink to him who is perishing,
00 And wine to those who are bitter of heart.
07 Let him drink and forget his poverty,
00 And remember his misery no more.

08 Open your mouth for the speechless,
00 In the cause of all who are appointed to die.
09 Open your mouth, judge righteously,
00 And plead the cause of the poor and needy.

The Virtuous Wife

10 Who can find a virtuous wife?
00 For her worth is far above rubies.
11 The heart of her husband safely trusts her;
00 So he will have no lack of gain.
12 She does him good and not evil
00 All the days of her life.
13 She seeks wool and flax,
00 And willingly works with her hands.
14 She is like the merchant ships,
00 She brings her food from afar.
15 She also rises while it is yet night,
00 And provides food for her household,
00 And a portion for her maidservants.
16 She considers a field and buys it;
00 From her profits she plants a vineyard.
17 She girds herself with strength,
00 And strengthens her arms.
18 She perceives that her merchandise is good,
00 And her lamp does not go out by night.
19 She stretches out her hands to the distaff,
00 And her hand holds the spindle.
20 She extends her hand to the poor,
00 Yes, she reaches out her hands to the needy.
21 She is not afraid of snow for her household,
00 For all her household is clothed with scarlet.
22 She makes tapestry for herself;
00 Her clothing is fine linen and purple.
23 Her husband is known in the gates,
00 When he sits among the elders of the land.
24 She makes linen garments and sells them,
00 And supplies sashes for the merchants.
25 Strength and honor are her clothing;
00 She shall rejoice in time to come.
26 She opens her mouth with wisdom,
00 And on her tongue is the law of kindness.
27 She watches over the ways of her household,
00 And does not eat the bread of idleness.
28 Her children rise up and call her blessed;
00 Her husband also, and he praises her:
29 "Many daughters have done well,
00 But you excel them all."
30 Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing,
00 But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised.
31 Give her of the fruit of her hands,
00 And let her own works praise her in the gates.

Today's commentary is on Proverb 31:8-9.
It is written by Terry McDermott,
and she asks if you will speak up for the speechless?

Open your mouth for the speechless,
In the cause of all who are appointed to die.
Open your mouth, judge righteously,
And plead the cause of the poor and needy.

50 million abortions a year?

163 million girl babies aborted each year because they are girls?

When you consider that every country on the planet is busy sucking out those babies from the womb, 50 million a year is actually lower than it could be. China alone has been aborting babies at a clip of almost 10 million a year on their own, because of their one child policy.

Consider all those 3rd world countries who we have been helping get rid of their children

As a wife, I like this one. ;)

But for your comments on children, I’d like to add that those leaders with children tend more to see the long term as their children and grand children will be living in the future they create. Those with no kids, short term gains and kick the can down the road.

Better decisions are made with the long term in mind.

A touching plea for mercy with a noteworthy lead-in. The reference to strong drink may mean a medicinal preparation, distillation as we know it not being common if it existed at all. In modern terms perhaps: Take the physician’s tranquilizer if you must to help get you through the distress, but please do not abort the baby or maltreat the children.

A good reminder that good theology has a valid “left” side. The difference between that and our modern secular left is vast. It is what has made “liberals” into illiberals. When they “think of the chillun” it is through a ridiculously narrow keyhole.

Let’s all remember the love of the Lord before it is too late. The more it is exercised, the more we get.

There’s no way to regain the idea of humanity as more than a commodity without regaining the idea of a caring God. Evangelism is the outreach need of the hour. Forget even filling pews! But never forget filling hearts.
