Antonio Soccis commentary on current affairs in the Church has taken on a mordantly apocalyptic tone, and rightly so in the midst of the growing Bergoglian tumult. As he observes in an article appearing at ImolaOggi.it, dated June 21 (translation mine):
Now the episodes increase, almost daily. The slow, progressive disintegration of two thousand years of Faith and History has undergone an acceleration. They [the liberal prelates allied with Francis] know that, with a Capo [boss] more than 80 years old, they now have little time. Whether Sister death visits the Vatican or there is another abdication, the old and new elements of the conspiracy of St. Gallen [the group of cardinals that plotted for Bergoglios election in 2005 and 2013] know they are in the finals. And they are springing into action.
Pope Bergoglios pending creation of yet another passel of progressivist cardinals does not bode well for the Bride of Christ, says Socci. Yet, he continues speaking obviously of the human element of the Church can we still call her such? As he explains:
Can we still call Bride of Christ that collective of TV-presenter priests, singing nuns, friars joyfully with the world, bishops who speak of illegal immigrants and do not even know the Bible? Empty Churches, galloping atheism and agnosticism Christians persecuted in Saharan Africa, in Indonesia, in Pakistan, even in the Maldives; an ecclesiastical hierarchy disconnected from reality.
A Pope who does not respond to those who request clarification of Amoris Laetitia who interferes with Italians and Europeans every Wednesday and Sunday, blathering about indiscriminate welcoming; who prefers to welcome to the Vatican nine Muslim families, leaving behind at the Macedonian frontier other refugees of the Christian faith
A Vicar of Christ who does not speak of Christ, because the center of attention must be him, the bishop come from the end of the world to teach us how to interpret the Gospel, with the aid of manuals by [the Modernists] don Milani and Cardinal Martini
No less so with the Curia in the times of Bergoglio. Divided between ultra-Francisisti and Benedictine conservatives, and united only by the terror the Capo arouses the first for fear of losing positions, the second for fear of new attacks on the Depositum Fidei [Deposit of the Faith] of which they should be guardians
The diagnosis could not be grimmer. Indeed, Socci writes, the tombstone for Catholicism is already prepared with the unified Mass for Catholics and Protestants concerning which technical trials have already been held ten days ago in Spain
And yet, for all of that, the Church cannot be destroyed completely, given the promises of Christ. As it was during the Arian crisis, so it is today: the Faith will be kept alive by a persevering minority of clergy and laity, driven into exile. As Socci concludes: There is nothing left to us, consecrated and lay, but to keep the Tradition that has been handed down to us, reminding ourselves that it will never be diminished even if there is only one church left on the whole earth that celebrates Mass according to the divine, not the human will. This does not mean a rebellion against the hierarchy, so much of which has lost its way, but on the contrary obeying the hierarchy by not hiding its shortcomings because the truth will make you free (Jn 8:32).
And that same Truth will be vindicated most gloriously with the inevitable Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, which not even a wayward Pope can prevent.
Be a victor!
Revelation 17
7 The angel said to me, Why are you amazed? I will explain to you the mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her, the beast with the seven heads and the ten horns.

Romans 10
8 But what does it say?
The word is near you,
in your mouth and in your heart
(that is, the word of faith that we preach),
9 for, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For one believes with the heart and so is justified, and one confesses with the mouth and so is saved.
11 For the scripture says, No one who believes in him will be put to shame.
12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; the same Lord is Lord of all, enriching all who call upon him.
13 For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

Revelation 2
7 “’”Whoever has ears ought to hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
To the victor I will give the right to eat from the tree of life that is in the garden of God.”’

11 “’”Whoever has ears ought to hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
The victor shall not be harmed by the second death.”’

17 “’”Whoever has ears ought to hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
To the victor I shall give some of the hidden manna; I shall also give a white amulet upon which
is inscribed a new name, which no one knows except the one who receives it.”’
- - - - -
24 But I say to the rest of you in Thyatira, who do not uphold this teaching and
know nothing of the so-called deep secrets of Satan: on you I will place no further burden,
25 except that you must hold fast to what you have until I come.
26 “’”To the victor, who keeps to my ways until the end, I will give authority over the nations.
27 He will rule them with an iron rod. Like clay vessels will they be smashed,
28 just as I received authority from my Father. And to him I will give the morning star.
29 “’”Whoever has ears ought to hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”’

Revelation 3
4 However, you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their garments;
they will walk with me dressed in white, because they are worthy.
5 “’”The victor will thus be dressed in white, and I will never erase his name
from the book of life but will acknowledge his name in the presence of my
Father and of his angels.
6 “’”Whoever has ears ought to hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”’

7 To the angel of the church in Philadelphia, write this:
The holy one, the true,
who holds the key of David,
who opens and no one shall close,
who closes and no one shall open,
says this:
8 I know your works (behold, I have left an open door before you, which no one can close).
You have limited strength, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.
9 Behold, I will make those of the assembly of Satan who claim to be Jews and are not,
but are lying, behold I will make them come and fall prostrate at your feet,
and they will realize that I love you.
10 Because you have kept my message of endurance, I will keep you safe in the time of trial
that is going to come to the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth.
11 I am coming quickly. Hold fast to what you have, so that no one may take your crown.
12 The victor I will make into a pillar in the temple of my God, and he will never leave it again.
On him I will inscribe the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem,
which comes down out of heaven from my God, as well as my new name.
13 Whoever has ears ought to hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
- - - - -
20 “’”Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and
opens the door, [then] I will enter his house and dine with him, and he with me.
21 I will give the victor the right to sit with me on my throne, as I myself
first won the victory and sit with my Father on his throne.
22 “’”Whoever has ears ought to hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”’”

* [2:7] Victor: referring to any Christian individual who holds fast to the faith
and does God’s will in the face of persecution. The tree of life that is in the
garden of God: this is a reference to the tree in the primeval paradise (Gn 2:9);
cf. Rev 22:2, 14, 19. The decree excluding humanity from the tree of life has
been revoked by Christ.

This has to be hard on Catholics who have put up with a lot over the last 30 years.
I left after the cover-up and protection of the sexual predators became obvious.
I don’t see a revolution in Rome, I don’t think the forces of good are strong enough now.
The laity must act, worldwide. A leader must arise from outside the hierarchy. Very difficult, but God provides.

My parish was hit by that and so was my Dad's parish, both in the Diocese of Rochester. The priests in question didn't molest boys in our parishes, but had previously molested boys on other parishes and Bishop Clark assigned them to our parishes, both of whom have an abundance of children. Neither should have been around children ever again! I stayed on though until the last straw for me was our new pastor signed a petition to allow homosexuals to be admitted to seminaries.
I now consider myself to be a non-denominational Christian and two out of three of my adult children are as well by their choice. My youngest is an Evangelical Christian and he and his wife and my grandson attend a Baptist church. I have gone to church services with them.
“...I now consider myself to be a non-denominational Christian...”
Big mistake.
Overreaction is very common in a crisis. Protestants are a schism.
Look here before you jump, where the traditional Catholic faith is very actively practiced:
There are REAL Catholic opportunities available if you are willing to make real sacrifices to obtain.
God bless and aid you.
I never understood leaving the Church because of the sex scandal. Just because men commit horrendous sins doesn’t mean it negates Catholic Truth. Personally, I think it is just an excuse.
And what happens if they excommunicate you for believing in the Word of God?
The you follow the life of St. Athanasius of Alexandria during the Arian heresy. This type of persecution has happened before and may be happening now. Read more about Athanasius at http://www.catholic.org/saints/saint.php?saint_id=336
Yes, I know about Athanasius. An impressive man.
The problem that I’m having here comes more recently, mostly in recent Religion forum threads.
On the one hand, Ive told that I have to obey the churchs teachings for salvation and that I shouldnt question it because the church Magisterium is the sole authority for interpreting Scripture, and that Im going to be damned forever if I dont.
But now Im told that its just fine if you go underground and disobey and dissent if you dont like what the church Magisterium is teaching.
So how am I supposed to tell when I obey and when I don’t? I’ve already been informed that just comparing what’s being taught to the Bible isn’t enough.
I probably shouldn’t be piling on you for this, but I do admit to finding that kind of attitude a little bit aggravating.
Forgive me if I don’t take your “dilemma” too seriously.
A billion Catholics have no problem negotiating the subtleties you give no recognition to every day.
And are you using the term "Word of God" as a synonym for "The Bible" in your question?
Are you saying that the Bible is NOT the Word of God?
Nice sidestep of the issue. Arrogance instead of an answer.
It's not sidestepping when you present "the horns" in such a doctrinaire fashion. But of course, I understand "why" you would do so.
Nice second sidestep.
Seems to me that you don’t want to consider that you’re acting like a filthy heretic Protestant.
But I get why you don’t want to confront the dilemma, or even try to explain a third route. To actually admit that the hierarchy may actually be wrong would mean that we nasty Prots were right about something.
“And what happens if they excommunicate you for believing in the Word of God?”
Nothing.
Schismatics and heretics have no authority to either modify church law, declare saints, ordain, nor bind and loose as in declaring one excommunicated.
Please do see http://novusordowatch.org/ for more on this.
So in other words, Protestants may have had a point when they challenged Catholic authority, because they are not, in fact, infallible?
IBCHIPAPBR
Catholic authority is infallible.
There are imposters at work however. It seems to be a historically significant end of times occurance that was predicted by Jesus, the operation of error.
It is a deception like none other in the history of humanity.
That is why we continue to assert that the popes are protected from error by the Holy Ghost and that said, there are imposters and there hasn’t in the past 50+ years been a valid pope. That is why if you just study material from the link provided earlier you will discover the history of what we see today from the modern FALSE Catholic church.
The TRUE Catholic church is underground, practicing the faith as it has been and was practiced in the 50’s, fearing to vear from the real authority of the pope at that time and his predecessors of centuries of unchanging dogma.
