I am surprised he wasn’t arrested...or harassed

Not that he should be, but culturally speaking, lots of very anti religious nuts out there.

Even seeing a priest might have triggered them into a crying fetal position event claiming they are a victim.

It’s nice to see a priest taking Matt 28 to heart.

“we gave away every rosary, every prayer card, every miraculous medal we had,”

Pagan traditions that do not give eternal life.

This story makes my day. I’m happy he was not harmed.
I hope others try this and do it his way, easy going, not in your face. Not lecturing that everyone in sight is already damned; the approach no one wants when your mind is elsewhere.
Next time though, it would be wise to travel with one or two people ready to step in and help him if somebody gets too aggressive.
If “Jenuwine” is not is real name, it’s a great name for a Catholic Priest. Sounds like “Genuine”.

My guess is there are many young people out there who would be open to becoming Christian, but don’t know how to get started, since they grew up largely unchurched, and had parents who didn’t prioritize it.

Lord Jesus Christ, bless richly Thy warrior Priest David.

Bless also those who spoke to him.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, amen.

On this Pentecost Sunday eve, to see what this priest is doing, I say God Bless him.

That is what we are called to, witness for both Christ and the Gospel.

God bless this man. If anything he did that day helped people turn to Jesus Christ, even by beginning to question and seek him with all the things the priest handed out to them, it will have been well worth it.

Probably the so appropriate yet nondescript caricature of the Father on his sign that made the trending on Reedit.

What’s a good way to reach a lot of young people all at once?
Plant yourself at an entrance of a popular music festival with a sign, some free stuff, and a smile.

The opening sentence just caught my eye.

The above is a reflection of the author alone and reveals. This is how the author saw things. It could be an opening sentence for many organizations?

Is there a better way? A way that doesn’t look like the rest of the world?

We might do things to fill the pews. Can we do anything to expand the kingdom? Jesus said “feed my sheep.” To feed His sheep, you have to find His sheep. Not just any old sheep, His sheep. And then you have to feed them. But what do you feed them?

The emphasis is on methodology. Just like in education, teachers just need to know teaching skills, not the subject they teach. In the church, we can’t give what we don’t have.

Disclaimer: I myself have visited a certain Baptist church 4 times and now have a nice set of coffee mugs.

Wow. My son’s band was in Napa this past week. I wonder if it was at this festival.
