“we gave away every rosary, every prayer card, every miraculous medal we had,”

Pagan traditions that do not give eternal life.

With all due respect, shut up.

Give the man credit for presenting a Christian witness (even tho it doesn’t align perfectly with your own). BTW how many street corners have you stood on preaching the Gospel?

Full disclosure: lifelong Evangelical Protestant here; former missionary, author, teacher, theologian - ONLY mentioned to counter the inevitable Protestant disdain for any tradition outside of their own.

Just curious why you thought it was necessary or appropriate to make that comment. There was a name for people like you in Jesus’s time and it wasn’t “disciple.” It was Pharisee. Thanks for laying down the law.

You are quick to mock things that you don't understand - these are neither pagan traditions, nor magical talismans that assure eternal life - they are simply sacramentals.

Doing as Christ commanded in Mathew 28.

Sacred Christian Traditions, though, help the heart to be ever more open to the graces God may will to pour into it.

Sorry that you've got such a stick up your butt that you can't see the good in a Christian witnessing to the masses.
