My friend's aging parents are both experiencing rapidly increasing health problems and urgently need healing prayers. Dad(Harold) had surgery on his lower back and slowly recuperating and Mom(Myrna) is struggling with dementia and balance problems that have led to several falls. She is also experiencing a great deal of pain from digestive issues.

I relate. My mother in law had a 13 hour surgery 3.5 weeks ago, and has remained in intensive care. Multiple complications. She turned 90 a couple of days after the surgery, btw.
My own mother fainted 3 nights ago, and my sister had to call 911 for the paramedics to take her to emergency for a few hours. Dehydration from some bug. My mother is 92 yrs of age.
So basically there is nothing really to do, but persevere whatever occurs over the following days, weeks, months or years. One thing fairly certain is there aren’t many of them.
I recall a conversation years ago with my paternal grandmother. She was over 90 at the time, and confided that her life wasn’t fun any more, and she was ready for the end. She lived to 95.
From what I have seen of those 3 cases of years after 90, I am not looking forward to it.

Dear Lord, please strengthen and heal Harold and Myrna. Grant their family peace in this time of trial and put a hedge of protection around them.

One of life’s hardest jobs is dealing with aging parents. I know. Mother, father, step-father, mother in law and father in law.
But it can be one of life’s greatest blessing. They’re all passed on now, but I’m glad I was able to do what was necessary.

I am praying, and would also appreciate prayers for my 95 year old mom who is as sharp as she ever was, but is declining rapidly in strength. She lives with me, is my best friend, abd I don’t know how I will cope when she does pass.

Prayers for you and yours. I lost my dad a couple years ago and mom is not in good health so I know the pain.

May the healing hands of Jesus encompass Harold and Myrna during this time of their life.
Having been a primary care giver for a few years for both my Mom and Dad at the same time. . .I would do a lot of things differently. . .especially their diets, supplements and the medications that both were prescribed frequently. .which included Leviquin family antibiotics which are debilitating to say the least and were not necessary. I’m on my way to a graduation so I’ll send you a private e-mail later this evening.
Heavenly Father,
You are the Great Physician and You are in control. We plead the Blood of Jesus for healing for this mother and father and also the others who have been mentioned throughout this post. We pray that you heal their bodies and use the opportunities to witness to family members that may not know You as their Lord and Savior. We thank You that we have the opportunity for prayer on FR and we will always give You the Praise and Glory. In Jesus Name, Amen
