Arturo Sosa Abascal, claims that despite Jesus Christ's words about marriage (Matthew 19: 3-9), "no one had a recorder to take down his words," which must be "contextualized," and that doctrine implies a "hardness" like "stone" while "human reality is much more nuanced" and "never black and white."
Fr. Absacal, from Venezuela, was elected superior of the Jesuits, the Society of Jesus, in October. The Catholic religious order for men dates back to the year 1540, when it was founded by St. Ignatious of Loyola. It is the largest religious order in the Catholic Church. Although the Jesuits for centuries were considered the shock troops of the Vatican and their superior dubbed the "Black Pope" because of his influence, the religious order has grown very liberal, modernist over the last 60 years. Rev. Jorge Bergoglio, the current Pope Francis, is a Jesuit.

I was raised a Roman Catholic, where I was taught Genesis was a compilation of myths, and Revelation was a bunch of psychotic visions. If the beginning and the end were not true, what about the books in the middle? Yup, it turns out they taught that all of the rest of the Bible was a squishy bunch of Play Dough that could be molded any way you wanted.

The blindness today is unbelievable. I worked in a large Christian organization (I will not name it publicly nor privately so don’t bother asking). Quote the Bible (which they sold every single day) to the guys and gals in my area and 60%+ would be angry with you or have some liberal spin implanted in their brains by liberal professors.
Like a living constitution, liberal Christians have a living Bible, too.
I’m not much of an intellectual, but it seems clear enough to me that there isn’t much room for man to separate, or for homo “marriage.” I don’t think I’d take a chance on thinking that I have the ‘nuance’ correct considering the penalty for being wrong. I also remember something about leading someone else wrong, that it was better to have a millstone around your neck and thrown in the sea.
