The word “rapture” doesn’t appear in the bible.

(throws rhetorical bomb and runs like crazy for the hills)

Those who think that their worthiness relies upon their own works will not be raptured.

The rapture is Jesus returning for His bride.

He will be taking those who belong to Him... not those who are trying earn their way out.

>>> The word “rapture” doesn’t appear in the bible.

Actually it is... It’s in the Latin translation.

It’s where we get the word Rapture.

The Word “trinity” doesn’t appear in the Bible, but the phrase “Father, Son, and Holy Spirit” does. We refer to that phrase as “the Trinity”. Similarly, the phrase “caught up” appears in the English Bible, and is a translation of the Greek harpazo, which is raptus in Latin. From which we get rapture.

The word “rapture” doesn’t appear in the bible.

Sure it does:

11 Thessalionias 4:17 deinde nos qui vivimus qui relinquimur simul rapiemur cum illis in nubibus obviam Domino in aera et sic semper cum Domino erimus

11 Thessalionias 4:17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

But thanks for playing.

Who Will Be Raptured?

No one. The Rapture is a pseudo-Christian heresy that was invented by a 19th century parson named John Nelson Darby. It has no basis in Christian theology and there is no evidence of its existence as a Christian belief going back much more than 200 years.

To many churches are caught up in this Rapture thing that they miss the whole point of being prepared for Yeshua’s return whenever that’ll happen. They deal with this pre/mid/post Tribulation that the whole point is missed. I’ve read where people have been excommunicated from their local church when they disagree on the semantics.

What a waste of time! Live in the Joy of justification through Grace, faithful to the faithfulness of Jesus, and LIVE!! Jesus is the way - all others are false prophets.

You cannot plow a straight line looking back - keep your eyes on Jesus - focus on Him - and forget about Rapture, or however you think it might end.

Remember, the Periphrasis were so sure they knew how Jesus would come they missed it completely - beware.

Belief in the rapture goes back to certain Early Church Fathers. The Catholic Encyclopedia will neglect to inform you of many things pertaining to Christianity other than the Roman Catholic variety.

1 Thess. 4:16,17 says you are wrong. There will be a rapture just not a secret one that has been portrayed where people just disappear and nobody knows where they went.

Rapture or not...

The Heart should be looking for His Return

To rejoice at His Appearance.

And so come lord Jesus!

The word “rapture” doesn’t appear in the bible.

Neither are the words Purgatory or Trinity.
