The protestors believe that animals have souls and should be let into churches
Animal rights activists in Italy have stormed a Mass demanding that their dogs be treated as Christians.
The Times reported that police were called to Santa Maria della Cima in Genzano to deal with a group of 20 protestors who were waving banners and carrying their pets while calling for animals to be allowed into church because they have souls.
The church was targeted by Animalisti Italiani after Roxana Grasso, 47, was told she would not be allowed to bring her Pomeranian to prayers.
I believe that animals have souls, are on par with humans and should be blessed in church, but other worshippers yelled at me and the priest pushed me and threw me out, Grasso claimed.
Signs at the protest read: Animals have a soul they will go to Heaven too.
Under Italian law, the protestors could face up to two years in prison for disturbing a religious service.

I keep trying to make good Christians out of my two cats; but they’re recalcitrant. They keep fighting with each other, and doing bad stuff like jumping up on the kitchen stove.
I retain hope, though. Both the Catholics and the Episcopalians ‘bless the animals’, in memory of St. Francis of Assisi - my favorite Saint, even though I’m not a Catholic:

Storm a Mosque maybe?
This is what happens when you apply maternal protective instinct to the poor, helpless little animals instead of having actual children.
Then there are the environmentalists who internalize the “man is inherently evil” but without redemption but through environmentalism, want all humans but them to convert or die while still protecting the only innocents in their ideology, the animals.
Boy,that didn't take long.Sad,really!
I guess they want pets mocked and ridiculed in movies, music, TV and all across the political and cultural landscape.
Not sure of your point; but I think “maternal protective instinct” should be raised up for praise, wherever we find it.
Without it, we - much less our animals - wouldn’t exist.
A pet is not a Christian nor do they have any need of being so.
That is something for humans.
Is that heaven for you?
No, I don't care to spend my eternity with a communist anti-Christ.
"That... blessed dog of yours...."
LOL!
Mine too. I expect heaven to be filled with my critters.
My twin, I think. Agree 100%.
We treat our pets as members of the family. Smokey (a gray and white cat) is on my desk watching the screen, Gizmo (orange and white tabby) is on my bed, Adain (our Irish Setter) is on a chaise lounge, and King Spencer the second (Springer Spaniel) is with my sister...the fish (not named) is swimming in the fishtank...
Hey! I had a cat named ‘Gizmo’ for about ten years, and he was also orange and white.
Unfortunately he wasn’t much of a Christian - a very wild boy, always getting into mischief :-)
In 12 years here I've "reported" three posts (including this one). There can be no doubt that this one goes *way* over the line.
I think it’s germane. We are allowed to kill and eat all animals. Not to torture them. But they don’t have souls. They aren’t people.
