Deut 19:14 Do not move your neighbor’s boundary stone set up by your predecessors in the inheritance you receive in the land the Lord your God is giving you to possess

Deut 27:17 "Cursed is anyone who moves their neighbor’s boundary stone.” Then all the people shall say, “Amen!”

Keeping people out goes all the way back to the Garden of Eden, where a mighty angel stood with flaming sword athwart the unlimited human demand to get in.

Then there were the occasions where Jacob and Laban set up a boundary beyond which they both agreed not to cross (i.e., to ensure ongoing peace between them). Then the time when Joseph presided over internal affairs in Egypt, when they were the only ones in the region who had any food (all manner of conditions were imposed on people who came to take advantage). Then there was the stipulation in the Law against removing old landmarks (i.e., boundaries meant a lot, and were sacrosanct).

Etc.

So, it sounds like this church has a particular emphasis on foreign people, and I get that (although I’ll never understand majoring in that for its own sake), and that there is a tinge of social-justice emphasis (whatever that is). It sounds a lot like the trap Bonhoeffer fell into late in his theological-philosophical development, wherein he began to assert that the only thing worthy of emphasis was the Sermon on the Mount.

We must never pick and choose portions of the Bible to ignore, or to obsess over. We need the whole counsel of it.

End-times false church, no doubt.

No doubt.

Heaven is walled and gated with particularly strict conditions for entry.

These "spirit filled" churches do not acknowledge conditions for salvation. The first, of course, is membership in the body of Christ. One who is not a citizen of the Kingdom of God may not enter.

Requirements for citizenship in the US are far less stringent than for Heaven. There are, nonetheless, requirements. the first of which is to enter our country legally and with no malice of intent toward our government or our people. The pastor is a Marxist zealot.

Obviously the guy doesn’t read his bible very much. If he did he would see that there are over 50 accounts where God commanded the Israelites to kill evil people; usually people that wanted to kill the Israelites first.

This pastor wants the State to do the job of the Church.

Idiot.

The Church loves on people, migrants, the oppressed. The State doesn’t “love” on anyone; the State protects its citizens and metes out justice.

Let’s not conflate the roles of the Church and the State.

>> “Another example of fooling the very elect” <<

Not likely!

This pastor does not appear to be a candidate for the “elect.”

He is just another purveyor of the “inherited lies” that Jeremiah spoke of.

Getting into politics kind of ruins a pastor’s credibility.

Given the "Johnson amendment", it should also ruin his tax-exempt status...

This pastor needs to read Thomas Aquinas.

Now, now, now. You are asking for too much. These so-called pastors have at best something in the nature of a 7th grade literacy.

AND A 'DIVERISTY' BAN AS AMERICANS IN WORLD WAR II WERE 'BANNED' FROM GERMANY... THANKS meowmeow...

I don’t think this pastor is a false prophet, per se.

But, I do think he is confused like so many other Christians into thinking the State is supposed to do the job of the Church. He is allowing progressive ideology to sink into his thinking and skew a right understanding of the relationship between God, the Church and the State. He is also a dupe and useful idiot of the State when he says stuff like this. The leftists could not care less about the immigrant’s welfare; it’s about packing the voter rolls.

That assertion is the fulcrum of “Churchianity.”

That is the essence of the “inherited lies.”

It appears that the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops and the Pope need to read Thomas Aquinas as well.

Scott isn’t really a mega church

He’s always been moderate and made inroads into music row as a charismatic years ago

Now where he preaches on old hickory blvd near Brentioch is overrun by hipanivs most of whom I’d wager are not current green card wise

So there you are

Screw him anyhow

How many pastors “hold fast to the word” (Torah) that Paul preached?

It goes way beyond the mega-churchers.

And the Catholic Church is better on illegals?

Your church throws huge money at keeping illegals streaming in to fill their pews

I know some of you folks detest Prods and think we’re going to hell

Fair enough I don’t much care what y’all posture

But try to be honest

The Catholic Church is one of the largest enablers of this modern day Camp of the Saints scenario we find ourselves in

A far bigger contributor than this numbnutz charismatic preacher man
