Heavenly Father –

We praise You, Father, for bringing us the inauguration of the 45th President of the United States.

May we praise You for bringing us to this day. The Second Chance You have given us. And for all Your blessings and marvelous answers to prayers.

As we look forward, may we look back to three centuries to Your servants which guided our nation.
* 18th century: George Washington, our first president who brought us through the American Revolution.
* 19th century: Abraham Lincoln, who brought us through those dark days of the Civil War.
* 20th century: Ronald Reagan, who led us through the dangerous days of the Cold War.

We are heartened that You used these imperfect men to help forge and keep our nation, based on liberty and freedom.

We lift up President Trump and Vice President Pence and their families, their staff, and the 115th Congress. Guide their hearts and minds. Fill them with Your Wisdom. Grant them courage to do the right thing.

Protect them from harm on all fronts. Especially on this Inauguration. Frustrate the plans of the enemy to wreak chaos, violence, sedition. Likewise, protect all those who put themselves in harm’s way to serve others, home and abroad. Give them special grace during the coming year.

We celebrate the inauguration of PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP and VICE PRESIDENT MIKE PENCE. Fill them with Your SPIRIT and may they look to Your for wisdom and guidance, for without You they can do nothing. Thank You they are committed to pray and seek Godly counsel Give them moral strength, compassion, and insight on how to govern and heal our divided nation.

May the TRUMP Administration have pure motives and a clear vision on how to govern our nation to Make It Great Again. Protect them. Give them good health, give them rest and peace, and make time for them to enjoy their families.

In the Name of JESUS we take authority over all foul, evil spirits that may dwell within the walls of the WHITE HOUSE, the CAPITOL, the SUPREME COURT, the PENTAGON, and all levels of government. In JESUS’ Name we cancel your assignments and command you leave and never infest our nation again. Fill the WHITE HOUSE and WASHINGTON D.C. with Your HOLY SPIRIT. May everyone who graces the halls of the people’s house and visit the people’s city feel Your presence and say, “BLESSED IS THE NATION WHOSE GOD IS THE LORD!”

This morning, I’d like to follow the example of one of our founding fathers, George Washington. First, President Washington gave a very short Inaugural Address and second, he made his first act as president a prayer. So please join me and bow your heads:

Lord, I ask for your guidance, as I work to serve the people of this great nation. Give us wisdom and understanding in the coming days. Help us all to recognize Your light in each of us, to see the dignity in every soul, and to unleash the potential for greatness that lies in every American. Help us to remember the forgotten men and women of this nation, and to bring all of our people together as we work to build a brighter future. With You by our side, no dream is too big, no challenge is too great. Amen.
