A Christian computer expert claims the world will end this month when Jesus will return to destroy the planet.
Nora Roth says she has performed complex calculations and backs up her claims in a 6,000 word blog post on her Mark of the Beast website.
According to the claims from Roth, who describes herself as a Bible student, Jesus will guide his people to heaven before leaving the planet sterile for 1,000 years.
Bible
The calculations have been based on an excerpt from the Bibles Book of Daniel, which says that Seventy sevens are decreed [ ] to put an end to sin.
Ms Roth wrote: Are 6,000 years of sin almost over? Will Jesus come in 2016? The Bible presents enlightening, logical, and compelling answers to these questions. In short, yes!
The 70 sevens prophecy in Daniel 9:24 has two fulfillments. First, the 70 sevens are 70 sabbatical cycles 490 years, pointing to the first coming of Jesus as our Savior from sin.
Sin
Second, the 70 sevens are 70 Jubilee cycles 3,431 years, pointing to the second coming of Jesus when His people will be permanently freed from sin.
In the fall of 2016 the 6,000 years of sin on earth will come to an end, everlasting righteousness will be brought in, and Jesus will come again.
The computer scientist, who says she has worked as a computer programmer and systems analyst, said it was most important for people to give themselves entirely to God right now.
She added: Now is the time to seek God, while He may be found. Now is the time to repent. Today is the day to choose to receive Jesus Christ fully and to abide in Him.
Obama IS a candidate for the "abomination", IMO.
There, I fixed it.
And I feel fine . . .
I know. Only 6,000 words. Pshaw. As a prophet of doom, she’s definitely an underachiever.
Another idiot prognosticator. Will they ever learn?
I think we’re close, but “no man knows the hour.”
“His” name is Nora.
Maybe we can avoid the whole thing by banning sackcloths made of goat hair... ...or at least requiring a waiting period.
Here’s all the calculation that I need, or want: No man knoweth the time or the hour when the Son of Man cometh, only our Father in Heaven.
no man knows
I’ve read (on the internet no less!) that Jesus did all His important stuff on Jewish festival days. EXCEPT the Feast of Trumpets (which is in the fall, a harvest feast I think??).
Anyway, it begins on something like the second Sabbath after the 8th full moon. It begins at sunrise. BUT - it is only official when two people see the sun and then report it to the high priest. So “no man knows” EXACTLY when it begins.
I’ve read that several places (I know I have details wrong). It sort of makes sense, because in other parts of the Bible it says to look for the signs for Jesus’ return.
I don’t lose any sleep over it. Although I think it is wise to live every day like it is your last (not that I do). Because it just might be my end of days.
How about to the “Circular Forum”
Good call.
He doesn’t even come until after his Church is removed and the Evil One holds complete sway over the earth.
It’s not a one-time shazam, but a complex series of events.
The Devil alone is responsible for turning hearts away from Christ, He just convinces you He doesn’t exist first so you have to blame someone or something else for your folly.
Quit trying to cheer me up.
Thanks. You made me chuckle twice with that one.
College memories of two professors in the English Department.
One accepted term papers at his desk in the classroom with a scale - the type you probably have in your kitchen.
Yup! He weighed each student submission for what he called "A tentative grade."
We were never really sure if he read the papers or not.
The second prof was an arrogant SOB who once returned a paper to me with a comment that went something like:
"While I cannot disagree with any of your statements or conclusions regarding this author's work, your submission is only 3/4ths the required length - *F*."
To those that worry about when the end times will come I have a simple question. Do you know when you are going to die? If the answer is no, then you should live your life as if either:
1) you could die at any moment
or
2) Jesus could come back at any moment
If you live that way, then you will have both possibilities covered.
Anyone who says they know the time is fooling themselves. Even Jesus doesn’t know, only The Father.
I've already got mine
