Bama Players including Jalen Hurts taking a knee before the Miss State Game:
Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts (2) kneels in prayer with his teammates before Alabama's SEC football game with Mississippi State, Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Vasha Hunt/vhunt@al.com
Bench them! This isn’t the pro’s ... this is COLLEGE football where the coach rules .... (or in this case doesn’t).
Answering myself ... I thought they were doing this during the national anthem. I stand corrected to myself!
Remember the priorities for all:
God
Country
Family
Work
Other
For me, it’s
God
Family
Country
...
...
...
Roll Tide Roll!!!
Meanwhile Mizzou, where the BLM movement went nuts last year despite the fact all the other SEC schools have kept things going well morally, is likely to go 0-8 in the conference this year.
A few people on this thread do not understand the context.
Correction: they beat Vandy (I missed that).
I have heard that too.
But the other makes sense. Why do men leave their families and go off to defend their country?

Defending their country is defending their family. And it’s both men and women that leave family to defend their country.
Also, is the life or well being of one of your closest family members more important to you than who won the election? It sure is to me. Therefore, family before nation.
If you go through the slide show, two slides from this one shows the back up qbs signaling the next play. One of those guys is wearing a wristband with MAGA written on it.
Yeah, but I should have read further, mea culpa :-)
Sad state of affairs when we can’t look at a picture of bowing on the knee without thinking it is a protest.
That's interesting. I gather the Buckeyes will be #2 in the poll tomorrow night and if they beat MSU and TSUN then they will be #2 with no conference championship game to go to. So will they be booted out of playoffs having beaten an Oklahoma team which will probably be a top 10 team by then plus wins over a top 10 Nebraska and TSUN and their only lost being to a top 10 PSU team. Will they still be invited to playoff? I guess it will depend on how the conference championship games play out.
Mizzou has a Trump and a Whitehouse on the roster.
This Auburn fan salutes the Tide players.
In a way, it might be a blessing for Ohio State. I think if they win out, they will still be in the playoffs, and they won’t have to risk it by playing in the Conference Championship Game.
If Michigan only had won last night, they pretty much could have punched their ticket, because even if they lost to Ohio State, they still most likely would make the Final Four, now they have to beat them.
And I think everybody should be glad USC isn’t going to be in the Final Four, because right now, that’s one team NOBODY wants to play.
Taking a knee in PRAYER, not a racial thing.
Yeah, I know. Smartphone, small type, missed it at first.
