Can European Christianity withstand assaults from radical secularism and Muslim immigration? The current trends suggest that Christianity may vanish from Europe, as happened to Christianity in North Africa in the 7th Century.
Not from Poland.
“....and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
GODS’S promises are for every nation.
2 CHRONICLES 7:14
Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.
Christianity has potential future anywhere
Even on Musk’s Mars garden
>>>Not from Poland.
I meant to say Western Europe. Things are better in Eastern Europe.
You mean Central Europe.
Yes and AMEN!
As long as socialism, funded by unelected central banks with power to print money at will, is in control - the answer is NO.
Christianity will prevail, even if Christians are forced back into the catacombs.
Yes!
Respectfully, wrong question. The correct question is does Europe have a future without Christianity? The answer is NO.
There will be a vestige of it, if the Lord wills it.
Russia and Poland seem to be taking the lead in saving Christianity in Europe. The irony that the former Communist hub is doing so is not lost on me.
Europe will have no future without Christianity.
In short YES - once they figure out what makes them different than the Muslims. A case of “it’s the ethics system stupid!”, followed by, “and where does our ethics system come from?”. If find it interesting that so many atheists want the 10 Commandments banned from public view yet none of them can point to one (Commandment) that they can articulate a disagreement with.
The same One True God who will soon annoint Donald Trump as His Hand On Earth will give Europe "Shaken Baby Syndrome." Not on stone will be left upon another.
Imbeciles. You made one intelligent statement... it will take a miracle. Good thing you believe in them.
Crusaders from the East.
In Western Europe? Probably not.
Most people aren’t religious by nature. Their religious “practice” is whatever their families, employers, neighbors or rulers demand of them. When there’s no such demands (as in Western Europe), most people become irreligious, and their children are not much more likely to start to worship Jesus then they are to start to worship Zeus and Hera. That’s the story of Western Europe today — it’s not hundreds of millions of convinced, militant atheists — it’s hundreds of millions of people not being told what to do and accordingly doing nothing.
The minority of people who tend to be religious almost always practice whatever their parents practice ... and if their parents practice nothing, they will scratch that religious itch with something else ... the obnoxious zeal of the modern progressive Democrat is often the manifestation of a set of mind that would have that same person doing to Mass daily and reciting the Rosary daily 60 years ago.
I would argue that even among the constitutionally religious, once they replace literal religious faith with an ideological proxy, they become VERY hard to evangelize. You can talk about Jesus as a substitute for Mohammed or Vishnu ... but as a replacement for abortion, affirmative action and higher marginal tax rates? Hard.
