Pope Francis made comments last week that reveal the most important single thing you need to know about the modern world: The most dynamic religion of the last hundred years has been leftism. Not Christianity, and not Islam, but leftism.
Leftism has taken over the world's leading educational institutions, the world's news media and the world's popular entertainment, and it has influenced Christianity (and Judaism) far more than Christianity (or Judaism) has influenced anything.
On July 26, two Muslims slit the throat of a French Roman Catholic priest, the Rev. Jacques Hamel, 85, while he was saying Mass in his church.
Five days later, during his flight returning to Rome from World Youth Day in Krakow, Poland, Pope Francis gave a press conference. He was asked about the French priest and Islam by Antoine-Marie Izoard, a journalist with I.Media, a French Catholic news agency.

Leftism is not dynamic. It is dishonest, deceitful and a miserable failure wherever it has been in effect.
But leftists have infiltrated the Catholic Church. And leftism is Pope Francis's religion.
Pope Francis is not a Catholic. He is not a man of God.
Pope Francis is an evil man.
I agree 100% with Prager here.
As a non-Catholic, I must say that there was no Pope like John Paul ll.
[A jazz-shaped faith is free to experiment because of the safety of the eternal word of God and the community of Jesus Christ with whom we will spend eternity.]
Gelinas, Robert (2012-10-14). Finding the Groove: Composing a Jazz-Shaped Faith (pp. 187-188).
Is the “worship” being improvised today chaotic, so-called “free” jazz expressing worship of self, or is it an expression of an individual and collective desire to seek God in the context of the melodic and rhythmic structure of God’s order — breathed into his Word?
Hmmm....

What does it mean to say that AN ECONOMY is organized around “the god of money”?
Nothing. It means nothing. It’s just noise that’s intended to sound like a thought.
Money, prices—that’s the ONLY way to organize an economy.
What does it mean to “organize an economy around people, rather than money”?
It means nothing. It’s just another noise Bergoglio makes that’s intended to sound like a thought to people as stupid as he is.
>>What does it mean to say that AN ECONOMY is organized around the god of money?
Rom 1:25-32
25 They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator who is forever praised. Amen.26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.
28 Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32 Although they know Gods righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
NIV
Is an economy a created thing?
Is money a created thing?
Is the technocracy that governs the economy a created thing?
A completely useless twisting of Scripture.
This one quote alone is probably enough to convince me all by itself, but when combined will all of the other things he's said before?
(Said in my best Michael Buffer ring announcer's voice:)
"Ladies and Gentlemen, Children and Pets, the moment you've been waiting for....the one you've been waiting for....is finally here!!!"And the worldly crowd goes wild in applause!"Today...one of the most anticipated events in Roman Catholicism is finally here..."
Are...You....READY?!??...
For the few in attendance and for the millions watching around the world...It's time!!
"Ladies and Gentlemen....Let's get ready to RUMBLE........""Presenting in the __???__'s corner...and wearing the Papal Colors...
Saint Malachys "Peter the Roman"!...
The one!
The only!!
The last!!......
"Petrus Romanus"!!!"
Interesting times, huh?
Fwiw, I'm not Catholic, but I really miss Pope John Paul II.
If Christians would worry more about feeding the hungry, helping the poor, clothing the naked and visiting those in prison and less about the End Times, Rapture, and the Prosperity Gospel as preached and practiced by multimillionaire ‘pastors’ we would have a dynamic religion. It’s all fine to condemn the immoral actions of others but do so *AFTER* one has done all they can with every last bit of time and treasure to help their fellow humans.
I don’t want to hear about the evils of Gay Marriage from someone who is more concerned with the color of their next SUV than whether the poor in their city have had a decent meal in the last 24 hours. YMMV
Mmmm. Yes.
It’s “dynamic” in that its numbers have been growing by leaps and bounds over the last 200 years or so, particularly in Europe and the Commonwealth countries, but now in the US as well.
And, to be more accurate, it’s Romanticism, as formulated and defined in the early 1800s: the four main beliefs being that feelings are more important than facts, civilization corrupts while primitive cultures are inherently pure, organized Christianity should be replaced by the worship of Nature (though Marxists replace this with the worship of economic justice), and beauty is defined by that which is bizarre, exotic, grotesque, and violent, rather than by that which is balanced, symmetrical, and centered.
If the Pope were a real defender of the Church he would have been at the murdered priest’s funeral and declared him a martyr for the faith. Instead he resorts to defending Islam’s war on Christianity by declaring it no different than common crimes. No different than Obama who shares the Pope’s leftist faith.
I am not catholic but I am curious-
When was the last time there was a pope as foolish as Pope Francis? He may be educated but every time he opens his mouth I think to myself, “This guy is an idiot!”
Money, pricesthats the ONLY way to organize an economy. What does it mean to organize an economy around people, rather than money
An economy which is organized around labor rather than capitol is communism. Which is what this Pope is for.
Slavery?
Because of this... God gave them over.
Because of what?
Gave them over to what?
That’s a pretty good description, historically relevant, and more helpful than wild diatribes against “modernism.” Wouldn’t you agree that the kick-off of the “religion” of leftism was the French Revolution? Romanticism, enlightenment, theosophy, naturalism, marxism, darwinism, secularism, deconstructionism, utopianism, etc, came to prominence differently in various cultures or systems, but they are all from the same ideology.
Astute point you’ve made, connecting the pope’s divisive qualities with their root cause, modernism (as defined a heresy). All ideas which have appealed to the best in man and lead to good have unifying and inspiring leaders.
>>A completely useless twisting of Scripture.
Anybody with common sense can see the punitive response (the cancerous proliferation of cultural perversion) described in Romans chapter 1 unfolding, again.
The only question is what provoked that response to be rendered upon post-modern “culture” — What was being worshiped and served, this time?
