PARIS – Two attackers reportedly shouted "Allahu Akbar" before slitting the throat of an 84-year-old priest and critically injuring at least one other person during a Tuesday morning terror attack on a church near the Normandy city of Rouen, officials said.
The terrorists, who French President Francois Hollande said had pledged their allegiance to ISIS, were later shot and killed by police.
"[ISIS] has declared war on us," Hollande said Tuesday. "We must fight this war by all means, while respecting the rule of law -- what makes us a democracy."
The priest, identified by Sky News as Jacques Hamel, was dead at the scene, and another person, possibly a nun, was clinging to life, Interior Ministry spokesman Pierre-Henry Brandet said.
The killing Tuesday inside the church, in the small northwestern town of Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray, "is obviously a drama for the Catholic community, for the Christian community," Brandet told reporters.

And in the Daily Mail story was this sentence:
“It [the attack] comes as it emerged that the building was one of a number of Catholic churches on a terrorist ‘hit list’ found on a suspected ISIS extremist last April.”
OK, maybe its time to change a few of them thar' laws.
I saw that too and wonder if any of the Church clergy had been warned. At the Munich memorial, muslim s___s yelled Allah Akbar - one German man yelled back at them. A number of police there when asked to intervene said they could do nothing.
This is infuriating. Muslims murdering innocents has been going on way too long.
I wonder if there is anything to the pigs blood theory?
I think this explains why two attackers were able to create such mayhem armed with nothing more than knives. A healthy-sized congregation with a significant masculine presence would have overwhelmed these two animals.
Out of curiosity I went to the BBC web site to see what it had to say. The main headline there is "Michelle Obama denounces Trump hate". I guess I should have known. Not until half-way down the front news page do I find an article about this atrocity with the simple headline "Priest killed in French Church attack". The name ISIS is buried in the middle of the article text.
Political correctness is a terminal disease in these countries.
