Buzzfeed reporter Charlie Warzel, who claims inspiration from the biblical Mark of the Beast, has his hand implanted with a payment chip and lives for a month wallet and cash-free. This report is beyond disturbing and shows how utterly debased the secular mind has grown in just the last few years. Now, not only is this kind of thing not shied away from, but unbelievers are actually finding inspiration in Revelation 13:16-17 for what a cashless society should look like.
Very disturbing and scary.
It will never take hold because so much of the illicit and underground economy relies on cash. There’s no way those huge businesses will be compromised. Cash is king.
2 Timothy 4:3-4 says it quite well:
For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.
AND 2 Peter 3:3:
Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires.
I refused to put one of those chips in my dogs. The vet pushed it, but I said NO!
[[I refused to put one of those chips in my dogs. The vet pushed it, but I said NO!]]
Find a new vet .
There is lots of reports of the chips migrating and causing infections . I know that at least in horses the chip causes TUMORS
If they succeed in getting rid of all anonymous forms of payment then they will find that there is little left to tax, because much of the underground economy will come to a halt.
Part of me kinda sorts wishes this happens. There are so many people that don't vote conservative because they aren't affected by tax policy. Those of us who are unable or unwilling to participate in the underground economy are basically paying for those that do.
Yes, it's sorta great that some people are "going Galt", but it would be a better thing if we threw the bums out so that everyone could benefit from better government policy.
Not,surprising.
In the greek one sees that they write about the mark as people desiring it, considering it a source of pride and honor.
It is the in thing, people will be excited to get it.
With no money banks can charge negative interest. Spend your money or lose it. Make only paper gold and silver transferable to an account, this makes physical metals worthless in the real economy.
Yes it is. Hmmm...went to my bank (different branches, BofA) yesterday and again today...wanted to put some cash into the ATM to make a deposit. Both times, said no, was not accepting cash deposits. Strange....
Revelation has a lot of symbols in it. I’ll stick my neck out and say the mark of the beast probably doesn’t mean a stunt like this. For one thing the forehead positioning would be rather inconvenient for shopping purposes. It sure sounds to me like it is a symbol for a way of acting (hand) and thinking (head). If you will not think and act like the Beast, then you cannot “buy or sell” your ideas.
I already see stuff like that going on with FR. Classic Christian ideas are frequently considered odd ball, too weak, too wimpy, etc.
Good thing, or your dog would secretly go and buy Gravy Train or Ken-L-Ration, charging it to your account.
That typically applies to loans (yes, you owe less than what you borrowed — weird, but they do it in Japan to pump the economy).
I was thinking the mark of the beast is much like the mark I received when I was baptized.
God will recognize his mark.
If you are marked by the beast it will recognize its mark.
These are spiritual marks.
Using RFID technology to “mark people” is more of a secular thing, I don’t think it will spread much beyond urban areas.
I won’t get an implant ever, but that is for health concerns.
There might be an analogy between the two. The devil (and angels) are in the details. However, the mark of God is superior to the mark of the devil, and God can erase the latter.
I think the stunt here is just being silly.
However, even having people do it for stunt value, brings the matter into the realm of news and conversation. The topic could be the basis of a blessed gospel witness.
Walid Shoebat had an article a couple weeks ago about Turkey demanding that foreign workers put the ‘mark of the beast’ on their hands, and how it will permit them to buy and sell in marketplaces.
Erdogan has been identified, by eastern orthodox Christians, as the antichrist.
How is Turkey supposed to be implementing this? Fingerprint readers?
No hope of heaven for those who do it.
Buying in on the final tyrant’s regime is the ultimate choosing of sides.
