Billionaire businessman Donald Trump suggested on Saturday that he would have had "less difficulty" if he had proposed barring Christians from entering the US instead of Muslims.
Last December, the Republican presidential front-runner ignited a national firestorm by proposing to suspend all Muslim immigration and tourist travel into the US.
"If I said that about Christians, and if I said 'banned,' I'm telling you I would have had less difficulty," Trump said Saturday. "And that's pretty sad, because we're Christians. I'm Protestant. I'm Presbyterian."
Some of Trump's critics have questioned the sincerity of his faith, noting that the real-estate mogul recently said he doesn't like to ask God for forgiveness.
But Trump unequivocally embraced the evangelical Christian community throughout the start of his Saturday speech in Sioux Center, Iowa.
"I'm a true believer. And you're many true believers â I hope all â is everybody a true believer in this room? I think so. But Christianity is under tremendous siege," Trump told supporters at Dordt College, a Christian liberal-arts school.

The sooner we all figure out that Sharia “is NOT who we ARE” the better.
What about those who are Jewish? And Sikh? And other law-abiding religions who love America?
Sounds to me like Trump knows that his standing with Evangelicals is low and he has to bump it up by providing a little boob bait for all us Christians.
His ignorance of religious freedom is evident.

We may not like what is happening in the world today, but please be assured God has it all under His control. If Trump actually said that, he just lost every Jewish vote.
Jews are as reliable a DemocRAT vote as blacks and Hispanics. There's nothing Trump or any Republican can say to sway a significant number of them to their side.

Trump says what he thinks will get him a better “deal”. The “deal” in Iowa are the evangelicals.
Remember, Trump will make you great again. Yes, He Can! Just HOPE! Sounds awfully familiar to 08 with certain cultish figure promising grandiose scheme.
He doesn’t need Jews to win New York. And I don’t think Jews are as paranoid of Christians as they used to be. They are smart enough to know that Christians provide a buffer between them and murderous Muslims.

The only thing that Trump will be able to do as president to protect Christians is to NOMINATE, BUT NOT CONFIRM, a USAG that will put legal pressure on low-information, pro gay activist state officials who unlawfully use PC, constitutionally unprotected gay agenda rights to trump constitutionally enumerated protections, 1st Amendment-protected religious expression in several cases, such actions violating the 14th Amendment. (Corrections, insights welcome.)

In fact, note that states that practice hate crime against Christians by promoting PC gay rights are arguably also unconstitutionally establishing a protected class, a protected LGBT class for example, which is prohibited by Clause 1 of Section 10 of Article I.
Article I, Secton 10, Clause 1: No State shall enter into any Treaty, Alliance, or Confederation; grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal; coin Money; emit Bills of Credit; make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts; pass any Bill of Attainder, ex post facto Law, or Law impairing the Obligation of Contracts, or grant any Title of Nobility [emphasis added].
But patriots NEED TO SUPPORT Trumps effort to protect Christians by also electing a new, state sovereignty-respecting Senate that will CONFIRM the religious expression protecting USAG that Trump nominates.
Note that such a Congress will probably be willing to also fire state sovereignty-ignoring, pro-gay activist justices.

In Iowa speech I watched he said he was Evangelical. He has no idea in the world what that means.
