Too many couples don’t understand how many others, including their close friends, have already dealt with this. Most don’t talk about it, and even more rare, talk about it in terms of their faith.
You can feel so alone. Often those facing need only reach out and quickly find their normal support network is well prepared, if they only ask.
Wow.
I am the first baby that lived for Mom, and for the first time I think I understand what she must have gone through.
I’m glad it worked out for Faith.
I know someone who has a painting of a family tree, a real-looking tree with named members on it. Here and there you will see a little red dot that kind of looks like a fruit. That’s the little one whom only God and its mother knows intimately, never to be forgotten.
There’s always that “Thank G-d for unanswered prayers”
**Why I’m Grateful God Didn’t Answer My Prayer**
God answers all prayers.
Sometimes the answer is no.
God DID answer your prayer. The answer was not the one that you desired. He does say “no” sometimes.
She said it was never going to be her child - then she said sorry and later goodbye.
Why? Because it was and is her child. It could never live very long, but it was a child. Her first. She will realize this better later. She will always remember.
She has a child and that child is with God. A soul was given that child at conception - not birth - and she has a child. And they will be reunited when she meets Jesus. Hopefully, she will get to remain with them! Here’s to hope!
Beautiful and poignant story. Thank you for posting it.
