Archbishop Blase Cupich of Chicago — who is participating in the Synod of the Family at Pope Francis’ personal invitation — said at a press scrum in the Vatican press office this afternoon that the conscience is "inviolable" and that he believes divorced and remarried couples could be permitted to receive the sacraments, if they have "come to a decision" to do so "in good conscience" - theological reasoning that he indicated in response to a follow-up question would also apply to gay couples.
During the lengthy press briefing, the archbishop also spoke approvingly of the so-called "Kasper Proposal," which would permit divorced and remarried Catholics to receive Communion in some cases. Cupich explained that he had distributed Cardinal Walter Kasper's book, The Gospel of the Family, in which the cardinal had laid out this proposal, to all of the priests in his diocese.
“In Chicago I visit regularly with people who feel marginalized: the elderly, the divorced and remarried, gay and lesbian individuals and also couples. I think that we really need to get to know what their life is like if we’re going to accompany them,” he said.
When asked to give a concrete example of how he would accompany the divorced and remarried in their desire to receive the sacraments, Cupich replied: “If people come to a decision in good conscience then our job is to help them move forward and to respect that. The conscience is inviolable and we have to respect that when they make decisions, and I’ve always done that.”
When asked by LifeSiteNews if the notion of accompanying people to "the Sacrament" who had a clear indication of conscience to do so also applied to gay couples in the Church, Cupich indicated an affirmative answer.

Not a day goes by without another bishop coming out and revealing what they really think. In a breaking story, LifeSiteNews has interviewed Blase Cupich, Archbishop of Chicago who reveals his heretical belief in the primacy of conscience over doctrine and faith and his willingness to cause sacrilege to the Holy Eucharist.
Blase Cupich’s words are heretical. In an earlier time, a Pope would have already sanctioned him. Yet, it was this Pope that promoted him to the See of Chicago and invited him as a participant at the Synod. How dare he include the “elderly” in the same sentence as sodomites and lesbians.

“I think that gay people are human beings too and they have a conscience. And my role as a pastor is to help them to discern what the will of God is by looking at the objective moral teaching of the Church and yet, at the same time, helping them through a period of discernment to understand what God is calling them to at that point,” he said. “It’s for everybody. I think that we have to make sure that we don’t pigeonhole one group as though they are not part of the human family, as though there’s a different set of rules for them. That would be a big mistake.”
Blase Cupich is a disgrace to the priesthood and the Church, Under his logic, as long as a murderer or a rapist or a producer of child pornography or a thief does so in good conscience, then the Eucharist is theirs.
There is a set of rules for Holy Communion. Confession, penance and firm purpose of amendment. Where does this man wish to accompany them, on the road to Hell? We all know they are human beings and don’t need to be lectured by this apostate bishop.
Let all these Judas Priests come out, one by one. Let them all come out into the light so we can see them and look upon their wicked and deformed faces and minds and hearts conformed to a modernist heresy and not to Christ.
Is Blase Cupich a homosexual? Is he being blackmailed? What is in his closet?

What exactly can good catechism following Catholics do to expel these agents of Satan?
The Church Jesus founded based on Peter is the ONLY one Jesus ever built. It is in the Bible. Lots of people say Jesus was just kidding around. I think not.
Don't "accompany" them, Archbishop. Lead them. Lead them out of darkness and into the light. They're lost.
A shepherd doesn't "accompany" sheep. A shepherd herds the sheep away from danger and into green pastures. He guides them and directs them. He doesn't "accompany" them as they wander over a precipice or into thorns or towards wolves.
What are their lives like? On a day to day basis, probably like mine. They get up and go to work every day but since they have no kids, they're likely financially more comfortable.
Come visit me some day and "accompany" my life. See what it's like to be trying to live out the Christian virtues in a society which sneers at them. Come meet the new "minority': faithful Catholics.

Sigh, you are one of those aren’t you. I have posted huge pages about the pagan catholic church and how its wrong. I tire of it and debating about it. Believe what you will if you want the truth about roman pagan church Constantine spread through the Empire do some research. You all can go down with the heresies, it is your right. I hope some of you learn to honestly take a look with sober eyes at the pagan practices and symbolism’s of the Rome church, and follow God through prayer to Jesus only(no Mary, saints etc). I think the Church is supposed to form consciences correctly and tell people when they have erred in the conscience.
Not bestow the Host on them when they persist in error. “Hey it’s your conscience and your soul and you eating and drinking your condemnation. Tell the Big Guy I said your conscience is inviolable.”
But then, I’m not a cardinal.
You might want to check that....Jesus is the cornerstone. The church is built on Him.

Possibly the Cupich and Pelosi types will go away into their own pretend Catholic Church. The rest of us may be rid of them in our own parishes, relieved of their progressive Marxist agendas and liberal meddling, usurping the powers, running the priest and parish.
Traditional parishes could hope to return to peace and practices of the traditional Catholic Church. The libertines could go away into their own parishes where they can happily try to out power and out politically correct each other, to their heart’s content.
That one reporter may have nailed it. The Church splits in three directions. A multiple schism, divided between the Orthodox Roman Catholic, the Traditional and the Progressives.
In the end there was never more than a remnant expected to be left standing. Milking the Church dry of her Sacred Scripture, the Magisterium and Sacred Tradition is not a virtue that brings salvation.
