Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee admitted Wednesday that fellow GOP contender Ted Cruz was prevented from speaking on stage the day before at a rally for the Kentucky clerk, explaining it all came down to a simple reason.
Well Steve, this was our event, Huckabee told NewsMaxTVs Steve Malzberg Show. My team put it together. Were the ones who recruited the people not only to be on the program, but were the ones who coordinated the effort. Were the ones who secured the permits, the staging.
We had no idea Ted Cruz was even going to show up until the day before and he didnt call us, he called several other people on the program and asked about it, the former Arkansas governor continued....

Huck is turning into Jesse Jackson.
2D, my private mail is killing me, holding me to 100 characters, so I’m on forum to ask you about posting up the DRUDGE story from the Daily Beast on the rebellion of US Intel analysts against top brass. Obama is unraveling with his happy talk. Can you post it up??
This story?
and he’s a real conservative too./s
“One has to cheer Huckabee on his success as this is what politics is all about. “
Huckabee, if he were a decent politician, would stop giving the Christian right a bad name. I wish he would go to Syria and be a pastor there.
“Huckster... found his newest scam, mooching off the bravery of a good Christian woman. Go peddle another cinnamon weight loss scam, you fat piece of crap! “
Yes; Huckabee is to Christianity as Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton are to Blacks.
Thanks, Jane, but I did find the one I was looking for. Kristinn posted it. It’s on the rebellion by the intel analysts. Thanks.
BTw, my private mail all of a sudden announces a 100 character limit! Makes me so mad. It counts spaces to apparently. It happened to me once before but I can’t remember what I did to repair it.
I don’t suppose you know, do you? Sorry to distract you. Just wondering...
“Cruz doesnt add anything to a Trump ticket.”
Disagree. Solidify the conservative base. Broad appeal to Hispanics. Legal immigrants, that is.
Trump does not need Cruz for people management skills, but Cruz would be the best of advisors Trump could possibly find. Sharpest mind in Washington. Trump knows it.
As the nominee, Trump should pick a VP who is truly capable of being a great president. That would be Cruz.
Cruz is someone who would save Trump lots of time as president. Trump did not get where he is without spending a great deal of time with lawyers and probably knows more about the law than most attorneys. But he does not know more than Cruz, and this is a valuable asset Cruz brings when hashing out negotiations and putting together effective proposals, agendas, policies, plans, etc.
Personally I do not think Trump could find a better qualified VP. Trump does not need a particular VP to win the general. He needs a qualified VP who will actually do the job competently once elected.
Pity Huckabee doesn’t get that the event, even if he did pay for it, isn’t about him. It is about a woman who is being persecuted for her beliefs. If Cruz speaking would help her cause he should be allowed to speak. Heck add a condition that he not reference his own campaign if you feel it threatens your 1% holdings in the race. But don’t prevent him from doing something for her.
Huckaphony should stick to roadklll.
Huck is a jerk.
Huckster treats his opponents no better than he treats his wife. When he last ran for President, seems he kept his better half constantly in the background. She was more of a prop, or hand maiden, if you will. Granted, he did acknowledge her presence (but that was just about it) NOTE: He did allow her stand behind him on stage, which is more than O Dark One did with MichelleMaBell.
Wonder what kind of brain infections you can get from feasting on dead squirrels. Whatever they are, Huckabee has at least one of them.
Ya gotta wonder what type of people actually follow this slimeball.
GO CRUZ!!! Keep it up TRUMP!!
That might have some validity in most election cycles, but in case you hadn't noticed, this cycle is about America's absolute disdain for politics as usual. The top four GOP candidates (pulling about 64 percent of the GOP vote) are all anti-establishment candidates. Playing the usual Electoral Game is NOT what will get votes this time around. Huckster outplayed himself, and utterly failed to read the electorate.
Huckstermeister damage control alert.
Mike Huckame
