>> Mary is not the mother of God she was the mother of Jesus. <<

Funny, last time I checked, Jesus IS God. This is basic theological belief in Christianity. If you dispute that Jesus is God incarnate, you might want to find another religion. Christianity has always acknowledged that Jesus is God.

Mary was conceived without original sin. Nor did She commit any sins during Her earthly life.

She was a sinner that needed a Savior.

Mary

A Jewish native of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus Christ

Dates Lived:Approximately 20 BC- AD 50

Mary grew up in northern Israel, in the province of Galilee, although her family originally came from Judea, the Roman province in the south based on the old Israelite Kingdom of Judah. Living in the little town of Nazareth, Mary was engaged to be married to Joseph son of Jacob, a man who was descended from King David. Before they were married, an angel of God appeared to Mary and announced that she was chosen to give birth to the Messiah, the Son of God, and Savior of sinners. Mary accepted God's will, and the Holy Spirit came upon her and conceived the child. Later, Joseph married her, despite his shock over the pregnancy, because an angel assured him this was from God. When Mary was very pregnant, they were forced by a Roman census to travel 70 miles south to the town of Bethlehem, the town of David, because Joseph was from the family line of David. While there, Mary gave birth to Jesus, the Son of God. Angels told the good news to several shepherds on the hillsides nearby, who hurried down to town to see the child and worship him.

Then forty days later, when Joseph and Mary were presenting the baby in the temple, the elderly man Simeon foretold that Jesus would provide God's salvation, as a light to the Gentiles (non- Jews) and glory to the Jews. Simeon also told Mary that Jesus would be opposed when he grew up, and a sword would pierce Mary's soul also. This eventually came true when Mary was a spectator at her own son's crucifixion, where she would experience terrible anguish at seeing the suffering of Jesus. Mary was also present with the disciples when the word came back that the tomb of Jesus was empty! The risen Jesus appeared to the disciples in Jerusalem, including Mary. The apostle John cared for Mary for her remaining years.

Mary

Hebrew Miriam. (1.) The wife of Joseph, the mother of Jesus, called the "Virgin Mary," though never so designated in Scripture (Matt. 2:11; Acts 1:14). Little is known of her personal history. Her genealogy is given in Luke 3. She was of the tribe of Judah and the lineage of David (Ps. 132:11; Luke 1:32). She was connected by marriage with Elisabeth, who was of the lineage of Aaron (Luke 1:36).

While she resided at Nazareth with her parents, before she became the wife of Joseph, the angel Gabriel announced to her that she was to be the mother of the promised Messiah (Luke 1:35). After this she went to visit her cousin Elisabeth, who was living with her husband Zacharias (probably at Juttah, Josh. 15:55; 21:16, in the neighbourhood of Maon), at a considerable distance, about 100 miles, from Nazareth. Immediately on entering the house she was saluted by Elisabeth as the mother of her Lord, and then forthwith gave utterance to her hymn of thanksgiving (Luke 1:46- 56; comp. 1 Sam. 2:1- 10). After three months Mary returned to Nazareth to her own home. Joseph was supernaturally made aware (Matt. 1:18- 25) of her condition, and took her to his own home. Soon after this the decree of Augustus (Luke 2:1) required that they should proceed to Bethlehem (Micah 5:2), some 80 or 90 miles from Nazareth; and while they were there they found shelter in the inn or khan provided for strangers (Luke 2:6, 7). But as the inn was crowded, Mary had to retire to a place among the cattle, and there she brought forth her son, who was called Jesus (Matt. 1:21), because he was to save his people from their sins. This was followed by the presentation in the temple, the flight into Egypt, and their return in the following year and residence at Nazareth (Matt. 2). There for thirty years Mary, the wife of Joseph the carpenter, resides, filling her own humble sphere, and pondering over the strange things that had happened to her. During these years only one event in the history of Jesus is recorded, viz., his going up to Jerusalem when twelve years of age, and his being found among the doctors in the temple (Luke 2:41- 52). Probably also during this period Joseph died, for he is not again mentioned.

After the commencement of our Lord's public ministry little notice is taken of Mary. She was present at the marriage in Cana. A year and a half after this we find her at Capernaum (Matt. 12:46, 48, 49), where Christ uttered the memorable words, "Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!" The next time we find her is at the cross along with her sister Mary, and Mary Magdalene, and Salome, and other women (John 19:26). From that hour John took her to his own abode. She was with the little company in the upper room after the Ascension (Acts 1:14). From this time she wholly disappears from public notice. The time and manner of her death are unknown.

And apparently God had other sons besides Jesus.

“Genesis 6:2-7 - that the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves, whomever they chose.”

Mary is the Mother of Jesus.

Jesus is God.

Therefore, Mary is the Mother of God.

If you deny that Mary is the Mother of God, then you deny that Jesus is God.

So your don’t believe that Jesus Christ was true God and true man either?

That he never rose from the dead?

Mary is the mother of a Person. A divine Person. The second Person of the Blessed Trinity, incarnate. Son of God, Son of Man. One Person, two natures. Mary is the mother of God and the mother of Jesus. They are the same person.

“Idol worship.”

The title can’t be worship.

“Mary is not the mother of God she was the mother of Jesus.”

Then you;’re saying Jesus is not God. But He clearly said He is God so you’re wrong.

“She was a sinner that needed a Savior.”

She did need a Savior - and she had Him for a Son - and He preserved her from sin.
