And what if He chose to specially preserve her from sin, specially exalt her, "our tainted nature's solitary boast" (William Wordsworth).
Would you dispute with Him?
It is the “Greatest Title of Mary that God Never Gave Her.”
Why make up stuff and pretend it’s true?
What God said is what He meant. No need to make her into more than God Himself did.
Best.
.
Idol worship.
Mary is not the mother of God she was the mother of Jesus. She was a sinner that needed a Savior.
What poppycock! The title of Theotokos is important because of what it says about Jesus, not because of what it says about Mary.
"Mother of God" is a horrible translation because it flips the important point. The point of "Theotokos" is that it states that Jesus was God incarnate from the moment on conception.
"Mother of God" is a horrible translation because it becomes an honorific for Mary, rather than a statement of belief about Jesus.
God-bearer, Jesus comes first. Mother-of-God, Mary comes first. See the difference?
When catholics pray to Mary they are contradicting Scripture.
And please, don't say catholics don't pray to Mary for there is far too much evidence to the contrary.
Historically, to call Mary “Mater Dei” or “Theotokos” is a confession about CHRIST, affirming his divinity and the mystery of the incarnation. One can and should safely say that much. To do so is **not** the same as buying into wrong beliefs and practices concerning Mary. I say this as a confessional Lutheran minister who rejects the errors of the Roman and Greek churches on this.
OK. After there is a sudden disappearance of a lot of people sometime between now and September 23, 2017, please realize that you have been following a religion founded in Babylon by Satan to deceive believers. This religion is described in the Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ. Remember! DO NOT TAKE THE MARK! They will cut your head off, but you will only have to die ONCE. If you take the MARK OF THE BEAST, you will die twice, and the second death is forever.
Acts Chapter 4
8Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, Rulers of the people and elders of Israel: 9If we this day are judged for a good deed done to a helpless man, by what means he has been made well, 10let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. 11This is the stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone. 12Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.

Mary the Mother of Tammuz can not save you! Only Jesus Christ (Yeshua HaMashiach) can save you.
I guess many people are still Catholic Bashing.
It would seem as though some people are professing the Nestorian heresy, correct? Seems to be alive and well today.
NESTORIANISM
A fifth-century Christian heresy that held there were two distinct persons in the Incarnate Christ, one human and the other divine, as against the orthodox teaching that Christ was a divine person who assumed a human nature. Its name was taken from Nestorius (died c. 451), a native of Germanicia in Syria, and later Bishop of Constantinople. Nestorianism was condemned by the ecumenical Council of Ephesus in 431.
Postulating two separate persons in Christ, when Nestorius came to describe their union, he could not have them joined ontologically (in their being) or hypostatically (constituting one person), but only morally or psychologically. They would be united only by a perfect agreement of two wills in Christ, and by a harmonious communication of their respective activities. This harmony of wills (eudoxia) and the communion of action to which it gives rise are what forms the composite personality (henosia) of Christ.
In the Nestorian system we cannot speak of a true communication of idioms, i.e., that while the two natures of Christ are distinct the attributes of one may be predicated of the other in view of their union in the one person of Christ. Accordingly it could not be said that God was born, that he was crucified or died; Mary is not the Mother of God, except in the broad sense of giving birth to a man whose human personality was conjoined to the Word of God.
Nestorian bishops continued to propagate their views, and the confusion this produced among the people contributed to the success of Islam in the seventh century.

To those wwondering. This is fine since motherhood does not entail origin or of existence, but it does imply a specific kind of relationship.
No parent creates the soul of their child. The soul comes from God, therefore motherhood does not mean Mary is the author of God.
Luke 1
43 And why is this granted me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
Thank-you and God Bless for the article.
Jesus said this.
Matthew 12 NASB
46 While He was still speaking to the crowds, behold, His mother and brothers were standing outside, seeking to speak to Him. 47 Someone said to Him, Behold, Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside seeking to speak to You. 48 But Jesus answered the one who was telling Him and said, Who is My mother and who are My brothers? 49 And stretching out His hand toward His disciples, He said, Behold My mother and My brothers! 50 For whoever does the will of My Father who is in heaven, he is My brother and sister and mother.
- Now just that statement alone proves the early Church believed that there was Authority given to the bishops to decide sound doctrine, Mary was a Holy Virgin her entire life, and that She bore God.
There is a flaw in this person's reasoning. It does not say that she "bore" God. The statement says that she gave birth so that the Word of God became flesh. A distinct difference that has taken some off the path. Christ existed before Mary bore Him.
There is an excellent devotional posted by Gamecock on the Arian crisis of the 4th century, God's Greater Wisdom. The Arians claimed our Lord had a beginning no less than what is being stated here. The meditation is worth the read.
