Vatican makes history: Pope allows Islamic prayers, Koran readings [June 9, 2014]

For the first time in Vatican history, the pope allowed for the reading of Islamic prayers and Koran readings from the Catholic facility.

The readings and prayer came as Pope Francis met with Israeli President Shimon Peres and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas in Vatican City, a gathering designed to pray for Middle Eastern peace.

A Holy See spokesman said the prayers were supposed to be a “pause in politics,” Breitbart reported. The pope said, too, that he hoped the interfaith prayers would foster peace specifically between Israelis and Palestinians, the news outlet said.

......”No-Body Expects the Protestant Inquisition”........

That’s because it’s already proven successful.

God didn’t read Paul’s heart.
God knocked Paul off of his horse and converted him.

He was a convert BEFORE he showed up in Damascus.

I do not deny that Paul was converted on his way to Damascus.

I also do not deny that God DOES read hearts and HE CAN DO IT.

Take it as a GENTLE CORRECTING.

That was the precursor. Catholics should have gone ballistic. Instead they made excuses. Still do.

This is what happens when trusting in a denomination instead of the LORD.

The Devil may quote Scripture.

Now, the Devil’s own Scripture is being quoted.

There are books of what originally made up the Old and New Testament, the Apocrypha, that have been kept concealed by the Vatican, as they were thought of as being “of doubtful authenticity” of the record of the historic conflicts endured by the Judaic people and the acts of the Apostles.

Now if there ever were a religious text “of doubtful authenticity”, it certainly would be the Koran. Self-contradictory, pleading first in its earlier parts for acceptance and piety, then rationalizing and demanding the most bloodthirsty means imaginable to defeat and destroy the “enemies” of Islam, it was authored by a person of clearly disturbed mind.

I see some folks are starting to become “concern trolls” on this thread.

They are and were all Catholics. Christian and Catholic are not interchangeable words. I know some Catholics that are Christian, this site has some. Not all are however.

The teachings in the Quran about JEsus Christ are ‘diametrically opposed’ to what the Bible teaches.

Since the Koran/Islam teaches and denies the Sonship of Jesus Christ throughout the Bible, then the only way a Muslim can be free from Islam is to deny the Koran and Islam and come to Christ.

If they insist on attending Mosque and continuing Islamic practices then they’re lying regarding any conversion they might claim to Christianity.

>>Let’s also be clear also on this, Jesus COMMANDS all of us to preach the GOSPEL to ALL the nations, Muslim nations included.<<

When did this include viewing their religion on equal footing?

Mom MD -
Thanks for the Emperor has no clothing reply.
Rome and their followers have an important role in quickening end times.
The RC church is such mystery.
The bible that we read was shaped by RC authority.
The RC founded so many hospitals, schools and universities.
So there must be god’s influence there.
Yet I never understood such devotion to an organization that departs from Christ and Paul’s instruction of man’s personal - direct relationship with Jesus, and instead gives it’s followers an infallible pope / legion of saints / Mary worship.
And, tragically guilty of a trail of tears attrocities through the centuries.
Vatican and church authorities willfully enabling thousands of priests to sexual assault children around the world should have caused nearly all decent critical thinking members to flee for good.
Stay away from entities that aren’t Christ - centric and have practices that are contrary to and grieve Jesus and God.

This article is from last year! It was widely discussed on this forum at that time.

Why is this thread being posted as current news?

I am lodging an official protest to have this thread removed as it is scurrilous and misleading.

And the good news is that there are Christian missionaries who have gone to the Muslim nations and preach the good news of the Gospel.

According to the New Testament of the Bible

the God Jehovah of Israel has a Son

God the Father is known as Elohim. Jesus is the Jehovah of the Old Testament.

Of course there are. That, however, has nothing to do with the apostasy happening in the Catholic Church.

The difference between a radical muslim and a moderate muslim is that the radical muslim wants to cut your head off and the moderate muslim just wants to watch. :-)

“True Christians look to Christ not to man.”

Why did Saint Paul say, “imitate me”?

You disobey Christ if you disobey Paul.

Why did Christ say “You are the light of the world”?

It is then possible to look to a godly man for example and inspiration.
